GMTV. They have a bit of history on Strictly of staying too long. Also a lot of ladies of a certain age (the HRT Vote as Jason has dubbed it) fancy him.
I did wonder if he might have quite a lot of fans, he has been the Doctor next door for what seems like generations now. And he is the only person in the show that stands a good chance of falling, and I think that will see him kept in for a few weeks.
He's not even enjoyable to watch in my opinion. At least Todd Carty last year was funny!

I wonder if he's being a bit selfish? It's wonderful how old people can do things, but they don't do them as well as younger people, they aren't as fit, and they're more injury prone. Not to mention the fact that he doesn't have a lot of ability either.

I wish people..Coleen especially would stop saying he is old..he does not look old, and i don't thik his age is particularly old nowadays.
Can't work out why he is being selfish
. He is doing it cos he was asked, at at first he thought he ws being asked to be the show's medic, not a dancer, although assume he sorted that one out in his head before they started rehearsals

OK, I'll rephrase the argument - if you try it out and find you've got no talent, back off and let someone else in! That would save the embarrassing Coleen situation where a very poor skater gets saved week after week because the daytime viewing public like to reward them for trying.

56 (I think) is not that old, IMO he just is not that fit. If he had any sense, he should fake an injury to get out. He clearly is not enjoying it.

It's not as if he is denying a younger person a place. If he wasn't in it, another older person would be there in his place. They always try to represent a range of ages and abilities.
