What has Mariah got that Celine hasnt.....
Everytime you hear the big female singers mentioned in todays society most people automatically say Mariah Carey. No one ever remembers Celine Dion who i think is a much superior singer. Mariahs voice has declined in the past few years however Celine is still capable of singing like she could in the 90's.
Mariah is so over-rated whereas Celine is a genuine talent. Can anyone explain this?

I think Celine appeals to an older audience, whereas Mariah appeals to um .... I'll get back to you on that but yes, Celine is definitely for an older listener.

Yes Mariah's voice is a shadow of what it was before, but when they were both at their peak Mariah vocal ability had so many qualities. Celine is still one heck of a singer though I'm pretty sure that for people who do like that style of singing, Celine is always close by in terms of ranking. It's just down to her songs. I think the tables would be turned if Celine sung Mariah's songs, vice versa. It also, unfortunately is down to Mariah being more of a personality/name.

What has Robbie Williamsi got that paolo nutini hasn't? Becuase its always Robbie that gets mentioned.
The truth is they are 4 completly different artists and you can't compare them. Leanne Rymes for me is a very good singer but she gets forgotten behind Celine. Some people like Mariah others like Celine, but you'll find most people like a mixture of both. Ignore media reports they are normally biased anyway |

not a Mariah fan at all, but she's not as awful as Celine, who is the most annoying singer the world has ever seen
