My 'likings' are all upside down!
Lorelei Lee

Oh, the power of reality TV. If you'd asked me what I thought of Heather Mills or Gary Lucy before the show started I'd have said I couldn't bear either of them - and here they are coming across as rather likeable and down-to-earth.

Anyone else been surprised by anyone?

Upside down likings is exactly the way I feel about the people I had expected to dislike. Whilst I would not describe myself as a fan I do find myself looking forward to seeing Heather's routine.

The BIG surprise to me in terms of "oh I never expected to like her" is Daniella. I expected not to like her. I remember seeing her in "I'm a Celebrity" and she was such a misery. Since then the interviews I have read/seen have not been positive (in my eyes), as she has come across as "poor me". I had decided that that she was going to be the same in DOI, you know she was going to struggle and only be in the show under sufferance. Well I was wrong. Not only is she a graceful performer who is a joy to watch, she also brings a smile to my face because of the positive and cheery way she has approached the show. (<whisper this> I hope she goes far).

I didn't follow the Heather Mills and Paul M fall out in the papers so I didn't have too many pre-conceptions about her, and so far I'm finding myself rooting for her. I don't mean this in a patronising way, but you'd never know she had an artificial leg from the way she dances - it's quite astonishing and I think what she's doing is admirable.

And I watched Gary Lucy on Loose Women today and thought what a nice bloke he came across as. Out of the front runners, I'd say he's one of my favourites and that's down to his personality.

I wasn't keen on Gary the first week - but this week he seemed to blossom and his character came out. And I'm in love with his gorgeous daughter - isn't she the spitting image of him? I loved the way Gary made her say 'please' when she was threatening Jason!

I'm a massive Beatles fan and slightly wary of Heather Mills - I do wish people would stop going on about her disability (the judges, not people on here) and judge her on her talent- but she is doing well and deserves at least a few more weeks.

I've never been a Daniella Westbrook fan (have trouble forgetting THAT photo) but she has amazed me in this competition. She's my favourite female. And she looks so beautiful on the ice - what DO they do to them in EE to make her look so horrid?

I fully expected to like Mikey but not as much as I do. I think he's great!

I expected to like Keiron more than I do, being a Hollyoaks fan. These reality shows are spoiling all Hollyoaks actors and actresses that I used to love. Not that I don't like Keiron, just not enough to support him.

I think Daniella is surprising a good many people. Not only is she a competent skater/performer but she's coming across as determined without being over-confident and quite down to earth. She looks lovely on the ice so far - I look forward to seeing what she does in future weeks.

I'm certainly surprised. I wasn't expecting to take to her personally or that she'd turn out to be as good as she is. Fair play!

Keiron...I thought he'd be a bit like his character on 'Hollyoaks' but he's very unsure of himself and quite appealling as a result

Whilst I find heather hard off the ice I am looking forward to her routine. Danielle too. I've always liked Hayley since seeing her in a singing show as she is very bubbly but while I like her she hasn't surprised me.

Daniella's the surprise for me. I did expect her to be 'poor little me' bit none of that it's getting on with it even in pain.

Didn't expect to like Danny but I do, I don't see the smug arrogant thing with him.

I am not sure that i could ever bring myself to vote for her but I am definitely warming to Heather & have enjoyed both her routines, to the extent that whilst I initially wanted her out as soon as, I now hope she stays for a while.

I am also joining the chorus on Daniella. I think this show could really help improve her image. I know she has had her problems in the past with Cocaine addiction etc. but as she has been clean for a while it's nice that so many people seem to be giving her a break.

Daniella has been the major surprised for me, she's really good and comes across very well. She seems lighthearted and yet determind and she's my fav girl now. I think the publics perception of her (which was mainly from that photo) will have really changed now, I think she's the biggest turn-around.
Heather is alright, she's doing better than I thought she would on the ice but she's still very harsh off it. I see her only lasting a couple more weeks. As she does deserve to stay in a few more on her skating, but I still don't think people will actually pick up the phone for her.
I like Gary and I expected him to be my fav boy but it's Mikey. I love Mikey so much, he has a great personality and he's a way better skater than I thought he would be.

Negative Surprise is Emily. I like the Inbetweeners and I thought she'd be really good, she's been very underwhelming thus far...

Definitley Daniella for me, too - she has absolutely shone so far in terms of likeability, which was a surprise - althought the wild child thing was a long time ago - she seems to combine humility, enthusiasm and skill in an almost perfect combination. I wouldn't be surprised if she wins the whole thing.

Heather too - I don't think Matt's just bigging her up when he says he can't believe the things she can achieve, I think he really means it. You have to give her credit for being a hard worker.

And again, Mikey - I confess I thought 'Boyzone - boring' when I learned he'd be taking part, but he's just lovely, seems so natural and genuine, can't help but like him!

Also Gary - he's so good looking, and a good skater as well; I thought he'd be really up himself, but he seems quite sweet and humble, too.

Whereas Jeremy - ballet training, has to be good - oh dear!

Daniella for me
Heather is to false

I don't think Heather is false, she just too much, and I don't think Matt helps, he is really generous with praise with all his partners, but him and Heather together leads to me thinking 'someone shut them up!'

Daniella for me, thought I wouldn't like her, but she's really good and comes across well in interviews etc.

Daniella for me as well, I didn't think I would like her but am really impressed with her both on and off the ice. Goodness knows who does her makeup on Eastenders but they ought to take a tip from the DOI make up artists.

I think Danny is a cheeky chappy. Very confident cant understand why people dont like him. I think he and Frankie are not only good, but also very entertaining. Hayley I have always liked, Daniella yes very surprisingly down to earth and hardworking. I love watching her.

I totally agree with all of these.

Although I would add Kieron in that list too. I'd never seen him before as I don't watch any soaps, but he's great because he doesn't know how good he is. I think he'll do really well.

My favourite though is Danniella as well. She seems popular on here too
