Whoopeee! Just booked for the 2010 DOI tour - have no idea who's going to be on it yet - but I enjoyed it loads last year and this year it's a girls outing with my eldest daughter.

Please let me know if you have an snippets of tour news. I'm preparing a mental wish list.

Top of the list is that Fred and Mel have to do one of their amazing routines!

Daughter loves Chris Fountain and Kyran Bracken - any chance they'll tour again?

Out of this years crop I'd like to see - Mikey, Daniella, Gary, Danny and maybe even Heather! Not fussed about Doctor Hilary!

Who would your ideal tour performers be? Celeb and pro?

Ray and Maria definitely! Or Ray with another partner if not possible - by a mile the best skater on the show. Could manage without Kyran yet again, as he has done the past three years in a row. Chris has done two in a row as well, so could cope without him too.

If Ray, Kyran and Chris all do the tour again I think I'm likely to burst with excitement!

From this year, I'd like to see Hayley, Daniella and Mikey.

If you think about who looks good this year and who's likely to do it from previous years, there seem to be quite a lot of males, which might make pro dances a bit unbalanced. Also Chris, Kyran and Ray's professional partners all have good celebrity partners this year, so I wonder who they would skate with instead?

As much as I'd love it, I don't think we're going to get Ray, Suzanne, Kyran, Chris and Clare all back given the competition this year...
I think Mikey, Danny, Keiron, Gary, Daniella and Hayley will all most likely tour (we might get Hilary at the expense of one even if he gets far).
Generally we only have 9/10 celebs on tour, so if all I've named from this year do it that's only 3/4 slots left. At least one to two of which would need to be filled by a girl to balance it out a bit. Last year we had 4 guys and 5 girls. If there's only 3 slots left I'd imagine they'll try and bring the former champs back, Ray, Suzanne and Kyran as that'd make the most sense, if they can all do it of course. If they can't tour or some of them this year can't, that's the only way I can see Clare or Chris getting in the lineup unfortunately...

Too many good boys this year and too many male past winners means they might well need Clare, unless they take Heather to even numbers out between the sexes, and if they need Matt for Heather that mucks up Suzanne again. No one yet this year has got near Clare's week one score either . Clare is current with her skating as are Kyran and Chris so you would hope they use that. She's also been used on the intro show and according to her twitter is in the audience this week so there's hope.

I'd love to see Mikey & Danniella on tour, but it's a bit early to tell who could be awesome on that massive rink!

I would hope that Chris would still be on the tour, partly because he's my favourite, but also as he was still very popular last year. I also think he's probably the only one who comes close to beating Ray. It would also be nice to see him do a full tour after having to fit it round Hollyoaks for the last two years. With the extra time he has to practice, he could be better than ever!

Read she lives in the US now - she's been playing Roxie on Broadway. Bonnie was back at the end of last year and played Roxie for a week and there's a totally unconfirmed rumour she may be back in London late this year in Chicago and for longer. Not sure if that makes her more or less possible for any skating.

I think maybe a Suzanne who has been skating awhile with Matt might have a better go at Ray, cos she has the grace and performance, its such a pity about last year, though she needs to get back on the ice. Kyran has also been skating alot and Chris has been skating a bit as well (if he does it) so I think they might come nearer to him this year. The likes of this years lot with the popularity of Mikey, Danny etc might come closer as well.

I think Clare might have a chance with lack of girls but we'll see. But I am unsure about if Chris will get in.
I think we'll see Ray, Suz and Kyran and maybe one other...
I think Bonnie is def out, and she lives in the states and is also off the doi radar, if they are gonna get another girl back with Suzanne, it'll be Clare...

In the last 2 tours they have had nine skaters & definitely can't see them having more than 10.

In terms of the boys, I would expect at least 3 from Mikey, Kieron, Gary & Danny. I can't see Hilary doing it even if he stays in the show for a while. He doesn't have the comedy element like Todd last year. I know that Chris has done the tour for the last 2 years but Hollyoaks apparently didn't let Ricky Whittle do the Strictly tour this year (although there have been conflicting reports that he wasn't asked either so who knows) so don't know if Kieron would be able to tour. I know that Boyzone have a single & album out shortly and there may be promotional work for that but I don't think that would prevent Mikey from touring, especially as there are no immediate plans for a Boyzone tour as they are still unsure if they can perform live without Stephen.

I can only see 2 previous boys coming back. A poster on another thread said that Ray had confirmed he was doing the tour when he was in Grease but has been more reticent recently. This could just be down to not being allowed to say or maybe he has some other work lined up. Chris has dropped a hint about touring on Twitter but he's also been talking about auditions & he can't really turn down any acting work now he's left Hollyoaks. Kyran would almost definitely be available but he has done 3 tours now so they might want a change. I think Donal is a real possibility too as he didn't get to tour last year when the organisers didn't ask him as they didn't think he would get far enough in the show - he was then asked to do Wembley after he made the final. I would love Kyran to do the tour again and either of Chris or Donal. However I expect it to be Ray (not a massive fan personally but accept he is champion & popular) & 1 of Chris, Kyran or Donal. I guess us Kyran fans will still have the Ice parties to look forward too if he doesn't do the tour.

Looks like there will be new partnerships though for any returning boys. Kyran & Alex are an obvious choice as they have skated together before.

For the girls, I think Daniella & Hayley are a shoo-in to tour. Heather is now a real possibility as she is with a popular pro & can see her lasting for another few weeks. Emily could be a possibility too if she continues to improve and stays for a while longer as again she is with a popular pro.

The only girls that I could see returning are Suzanne & Clare. The only other girls who are good enough to return are definitely unavailable - Bonnie working in America & Jessica who is pregnant. Would love to see Suzanne & Clare back. After last year I can only see Suzanne coming back if she gets to skate with Matt.

This wouldnt be bad and could be quite likely;

Perhaps with availability problems replace one or two with;
Clare and Andrei
Chris and Susie (skated together before and Chris is more suited to solo skating in my view anyway, so as long as he spends alot of time out of hold and does faster music, which he generally does, alot of his stuff tends to rely more on just timing with his partner rather than interaction or connection with them so changing his partner shouldnt make that big a deal, no disrespect to Frankie intended)

Not sure if Donal would do it considering Flo isnt in the DOI picture anymore for some reason, I really liked her...

Um Ray and Maria is interesting, mainly because they are a more of a "pair" than say a Chris and Frankie (i like chris I dont mean any offence here).
Ray I'd say would be fine with Molly, she's very similiar to Maria and as long as they gave him more than two weeks to learn about 5 routines (which is what suz and luk got - i mean honestly what were people thinking) I think they'd be alright.
As you said whether he'd actually do it is another story.

But that's never gonna happen! Mainly cos it only includes 3 from this year (and Bonnie who wont do the tour anyway) but what a lineup that would be!!

Sadly I think Pav might end up not doing it this year due to Sharron probably leaving in the next few weeks and Jessica being pregnant.

Suzanne and Matt - this all depends on how well Heather does I think. I'm liking Heather's skating, actually she is alot better than some.
Chris and Frankie I reckon she'll be with Danny. I find Chris charisma free and a solo skater rather and a pairs skater. A good skater, but not my cup of tea.

I can't imagine them not having Ray there though, cos he's last years champion. I think they'd expect him to bite the bullet and take a change of partner if necessary, the same approach they took with suzanne... Whether he'd do it I dont know, cos they seemed to almost screw suzanne over for showing loyalty, so I wouldnt entirely blame him if he didnt...
I would miss Pav, the same as I missed Kristina and Andrei on last years. They need to keep the good regular pros doing the tour.
To be honest I dont think Heather will do it. She'll do another couple of weeks but I can't see them giving her a slot that far down when they're is alot of competition for it. Last year they went down to 7th cos lots were unavailable and they predicted people to come higher (didnt factor in Coleen or more importantly Donal), this year I'd say you'll have to be top five especially with a clare and andrei waiting on the sides. I think she'll maybe come about 7th, cos she's been skating ok but I still dont think she'll have the popularity. I also think the tour may be a bit too much for her leg (I dont mean any offence by that) I think that she's performing every week and training is amazing but I can see it flairing up under tour conditions of maybe 4 routines (opening, group and her two) sometimes twice a day.

Interesting point about Heather. I believe she has had to get a new leg fitted. Having said that she is clearly working hard & skating most days so she may well be up to it.

Well firsty I dont think she'll get it just on skating ability which was my main point, cos other people this series (6 of them) I believe to be better skaters and will be more popular, so I think she'll come 7th which could be fair. The second was just an add on and is actually more out of concern for her (which I never thought I'd say!). I know she's working very hard and I really admire what they're doing, and I'm not trying to be in anyway horrible or discriminatory, I'm just thinking 8 routines some days, you know... I mean it would be amazing if she did it, I certaintly couldnt, I'd be lying somewhere. And I do not intend to start any sort of a debate about whether she could it or not, god no. But completely leaving that asside as I said I dont think she'll get it anyway. I also think it'll be too tight for them to select down as far as her...this based on skating.

I mean as good as she is skating wise (she's surprised me) I dont think she's going to get above Mikey, Daniella, Gary, Keiron, Danny or Hayley and that's just on skating merit not taking popularity into account, because though she's good they're better. So either she'll have to replace one of them, which I can't see happening or we're going to have 7 out of nine from this series, last year we had 6, previous year i think it was also 5 or 6. So then you go into her getting a slot over Ray, Kyran, Suzanne, Chris or Clare which I cant see happening either based on merit and that people will want to some of these back...

I would be surprised if Ray doesn't tour if he doesn't get to skate with Maria. I'm sure his preference would be to skate with her but he must know the score that this years partnerships will take preference.

I'm new here. I had a look at this thread coz I was hoping to see who was going on the tour.....dieing to know!! It's gonna be tight this year!! Can't see them not asking Chris Fountain to be honest, every time he skated on his first tour he got voted to do the bolero, and last year he was voted for loads too, ahead of everyone except Ray. Think Kyran only got voted to do the Bolero once or twice and Suzanne none at all, nothing against them I thought Kyran was very good when I went to see it but I just think they're gonna want to book the celebs who are the most popular with the croud!! Plus in the press for the show this year there was alot of 'who's gonna be the next Chris Fountain or Ray Quinn'. I'd say they're both dead certs, if they want to of course!! It would be a shame if Claire didn't get to do the tour as I thought she was the best girl when I saw them live, wasn't expecting to either!!
