When gaynor did the COC show she said then she hadn't skated for a year & it showed. I can't see her being very good. Certainly nowhere near as good as Clare.

It's difficult to see which girls from this year they will take other than Daniella & Hayley. I did think possibly Heather but as she seems to be having lots of problems with her prosthetic leg I would think it would be too much to perform every day, sometines twice a day.

Last year she didn't tour because she got a part in a theatre production she had always wanted. She was gutted not to be able to tour though

Don't think Kyran is doing it from his twitter. Him(probs due to amount of boys this year) and especially Suzanne are big losses, 2 champs gone is a big blow, particularly with lack of good girls. I'd imagine Gaynor has been brought in as Suz cant do it, hardly the best replacement or in any way a like for like, but we'll see. Imagine Clare will be in as well, she has to be with Suz out, we need one of the top girls there and she's the only one available now. This years tour seems to be a bit of a mish mash, even more so than last year when they brought in todd. My fav tour was the 2008, everyone good (bar ray of course) was in that one, great tour.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Emily and Fred do the tour. He is bound to be included with Mel dancing with Mikey, and also Daniella and Hayley which would give us four females which may be enough as I think there was a 5/4 ratio last year wasn't there? 5girls and 4 guys? So if they reversed that it would probably be OK. Also if Hayley or Daniella or both reach the final they could argue there is a top girl there.

More surprised that they have already announced that Mikey is touring and claimed its the first batch of names.

You can't just announce one of this year's lot are touring... it just looks bad - as if he has some special status. You can't even argue that you are booking the top people because he isn't the one with the top marks.

I thought that. He must be doing really well in the public vote.
Finalist for sure.

Winner, Gaynor Faye
Runner up, Chris Fountain (and apparently Suzanne can't do it)
Winner, Ray Quinn,

and...Mikey? WTH

Interesting way of looking at who is there too. No Kyran= Clare by that logic?

Agree with Mikey - its the sort of bad mistake you make before you learn that saying anything in the open thats anything really good about one student is unfair to all the others.

Add to which if Ray is there he will be better than everyone else every show.........which either means the best man will win most nights or he won't - both of which which pose problems.

Yeah
Very odd thing to do in fact.

Well if Chris is there that should provide Ray with some opposition, particularly if Ray (or both) are skating with a new partner. If you add Clare into the equation (pure, hopeful supposition I know) together with the fact that she will have her original partner, there is definitely a bit of a contest going on. Only problem is that it involves none of this year's participants which makes things a touch embarassing.

Or if, as suggested above, the current crop (specifically Mikey) do sneak in it will provide its own problems. Nominally that Mikey is clearly not in the same league ability wise (although he's clearly top four this year) as any of the three mentioned above.

Still it's a night of entertainment and if that's what the audience want who am I to argue?

But for the tour organisers, it's all about ticket sales really, remember. And they know as well as anyone that this year's competition is basically a done deal. Given they can see that Mikey is a dead cert to win, they might as well get him signed up nice and early, and watch the money roll in nice and quick!

Also, remember, he's probably one of the easier ones to sign up, because he doesn't really have a job getting in the way one or two of the others.

Very surprised Kyran is not doing it !!!! I thought nothing would keep him from the tour. Could it be because he would not have Mel as a partner for the first time...or is there an over surplus of boys this year. No Kyran or Suzanne will be very odd this year, and as for Gaynor coming back....no offence, but I would imagine she is almost like a beginner again at this stage. She will have to start training again immediately to be up to scratch for the tour this year.

Suzanne will be really busy with Emmerdale when the tour starts, I know that people like Chris Fountain have juggled a soap with the tour before but he was a long standing member of the Hollyoaks cast - Suzanne will be brand new so I doubt they'd let her have time off for the tour

ahhh just reading Kyran's twitter and its very obviously NOT his choice... he was not asked as they want to "mix it up" this year. He says he will miss the buzz. Oh well... maybe a line up of different faces will keep it fresh.

Like anyone starting a new job... you want to give a good impression and I doubt risking an injury on ice would go down well with scriptwriters or producers.

In terms of ticket sales, I would imagine the most popular from the past would be Ray Quinn and Chris Fountain, who will probably provide the most competition on the tour. Mikey is obviously arguably the most popular this year and should get quite far if not win, so announcing those three names now makes sense in marketing terms. Kyran has done three tours in a row now, so if they were replacing anyone, that again makes sense, particularly as he only got to skate bolero a couple of times last year, given that Ray and Chris were better. Also they have more of a choice of males this year and I would expect another two from this series, and three of the ladies. I am not so sure about Clare, as they may have announced all the past contestants now, why would they not announce her too? I think Daniella, Hayley and one other from this series is likely. It is also possible that both Danny and Gary may tour, and this would mean both Ray and Chris skating with new partners, which might make it a more even playing field, but somehow I doubt it.

Maybe advance ticket sales are down on last year? So announce Mickey now in the hope of getting all the Boyzone fans to book!

It will be interesting to see if Chris ups his game, being able for the first time to do as much training as everybody else, without having to fit it in around Hollyoaks. I for one can't wait to see him back on the ice with or without Frankie.

I still reckon we are short of girls that could give a good competition -

Ray, Chris and Mikey + Gary and (Danny or Kieron)
Gaynor + Danniella and Hayley (Emily is in talks but she's crap so lets hope not), and Clare (who would be my tip). That would mean that 3 of the girls would be close in competition - Gaynor may surprise us and be brilliant, but as stated previously she hadn't kept up skating for the COC show, so whether she has done now or not remains to be seen.

Heather just said on this morning her and Matt are talking about doing the tour and their going to have some fun

I know this could mean anything, but Matt tweeted saying he was in the green room with Suzanne waiting for This Morning. Could that mean anything tour wise?? It was about 50mins ago.

Sorry if it's confirmed if Suzanne isnt doing it. I couldn't remember and on my phone so checking isn't really a great possibility.

Please God ....NO !!!!!!!!!!! Not Heather on the tour.

I was wondering that as well about Suzanne....has it been confirmed they have appeared together on the show, she may well just be there as a coincidence to talk about Emmerdale.

Suzanne said in her interview she was not doing the tour because she keeps getting hurt(something like that)

The Heather said in her interview with Matt we are in talks about doing the tour together so we going to have fun(again it was something like that and not word for word)
