I think it's better than Beat Again and Everybody In Love.

I can't get enough of it

Anyone else love it? Which of the three do you like the most?

I don't really like JLS. They seem like nice guys, are very talented and are the perfect boy band, but their music doesn't do anything for me. If I listen to one of their songs, I am sort of left unaffected by it afterwards, if you know what I mean?

Yeah I know what you mean, like it's meaningless in a way, it doesn't bring out any emotion in you.

started with ohhh hooo went downhill from there
laughably simple lyrics nothing to inspire anything
just the way fans like it i suppose or they would try writing decent lyrics and stop acting like divas with the oohs and ahhs .

I liked it the first 3 times I heard it. Then it just became boring, pretty much what happened with Everyone in Love and Beat Again as well. Although it took BA a while longer to become dull, so I'm going to have to say my favourite is BA.

Beat Again > One Shot > Everybody in Love.

Oh it pains me to say this as I think they are so talented but I expected better music from them. All the singles they have released have been 'growers' for me for me personally Beat Again and One Shot are much better than Everybody In Love.

I like the song and comletely hate JLS.

In my opinion their first two songs were just dire and really shudnt be given any kind of awards. Added on the fact i cant stand Ashton and his cockyness, just gets on my nerves.

But this song is pretty good, music thankfully drowns out the horrible lyrics lol

His name is Aston.
Can I please have an example of him being cocky? Only everyone I've come across who's met him says he's absolutely lovely, so I'm interested to know

I love this song - my favourite out of their 3 releases, and possibly my favourite from the album.

Do you mean Marvin?

Marvin shows his abs every chance he gets. And he always has a cocky smirk on his face.

I really liked them on the X Factor. but they've been taken down the cheesy-boyband-from-the-90s route, what with the dance routines and lifting shirts etc.

I really like One Shot. It's so cheeeeeeeeesy but that's what makes it brilliant.

Exactly. Reading the music forum on ds depresses me no end. Its not that im againt commerical or manufactured music as I own a lot of it but people trying to act as those something like this is a good song is just....

I like the Sugababes for instance bt wouldnt say they were talented. I wouldnt say they were creative. I wouldnt say a single song was a good song as such. I wouldnt say any are classics or masterpieces.

I like them as throwaway tat they dont compare to my fave true artists.

Nothing wron with liking a JLS song but you cannot say they are good, or their songs are good. Because theyre well ............not.

theres room for all music but taking or treating an obvious commercial track like a great musical achievement only
highlights the gap between different types of music
it is what it is - good on the radio as a throughaway track
but you wouldnt want to learn from it or use it as a refrence , sadly many do and big producers are cashing in on that sad fact and it adds to the "dumbed down nation " image , im sure behind a lot of commercial disposable songs theres real talent and its often forgotten when critising a particular song or band .

case in point - abba great melodys lyrics that matched the music but would you base a relationship on fernando
im sure theres a few chart fans out there sitting listening to
sugarbabes on their mp3 and thinking "thats so right actually " when the intention was a commercial succes
not a piece of poignant art .

Even as a fan of theirs, I have to say Marvin lifting up his top at every opportunity winds me up. No idea what you mean by a 'cocky smirk' though - and again, everyone I've come across who's met Marvin (all of the boys, for that matter) have said he's lovely.

I'm not trying to 'act' like this is a good song. I think it is a good song. People seem to forget that just because they don't like something, it doesn't make it a fact that it's bad.

Nobody's said the song is a classic, a masterpiece, or that JLS are creative. I do, however, think they're very talented - I agree their music doesn't do them justice in this area; but if you see some of their original material (such as this) that they wrote themselves before X Factor, even if you dislike it I think it's clear that they are talented. Also, at least 3 of the members play instruments - I'd like to see this incorporated into their music more because I think most people assume none of them have been near a instrument in their life.

Seriously, don't you realise that whether or not they or their songs are good is completely down to opinion?
I probably wouldn't like some of your favourite artists; it doesn't make it a fact that they're not good.

Don't get me started on JLS again!

I think JLS are a great boyband and I have always championed them right from the start when they auditoned on 'The X Facctor'.
They are down to earth guys, who are very talented and brilliant role models.

In regards to the music, i do think it could be a lot stronger but i think they have time to grow and develop, you have to remember it's only their debut album.

My favourite track is 'One Shot' followed by 'Beat Again' and then lastly 'Everybody In Love'.

I'm thinkin' their Brit Awards performance should be one to watch out for.

I would like JLS a lot more if it wasn't for Aston. He's got a face I just want to slap. He's far too smug for someone that short and scrote-like!
