I use the John Frieda Frizz- Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum. It's a pump-action bottle and comes out in a liquid form - and you rub it in your hands and then work into your hair. I have long, coloured hair and use no more than 3 pumps - but you could use less depending on your hair type and colour. Since cloluring my hair, I've used that after each wash (I find it works better on damp hair) and it's marvellous. I work it through and then put the hairdryer on. Afterwards, I can get a brush/comb thoguh my hair relitavely easy, and it straightens lovely.

No problem!
There are many types/brands on the market, but I'm sure you wont go wrong with that as it's a trusted brand and a great product!

I use the Lee Stafford one, after I have blown my hair, before using straighteners, its great, they are in the bright pink bottles. I also use a John Freida straighteeze blow dry cream on wet hair first which no doubt has heat protection in as well. After all this heat I have to finish off with a finishing cream, just a bit to get the dry look down to a nice sheen.

Christa, Boots do travel size heat defence stuff for about £1. So far I've tried the Charles Worthington (not impressed) and I think a VO5 one. I'll try the john Frieda one next I think. |

My fave is Label M heat protection spray (you can buy them in Toni & Guy salons) or the Toni & Guy branded protein protection spray, you can buy it in Boots.
I blowdry and use straighteners every day and my hair never gets dry or damaged, it's brilliant stuff. I haven't noticed a smell with either of them, I can still smell my conditioner after using it
