Swapping networks

I'm swapping from orange to virgin. I'm keeping my number. Have the pac code, rung them, and everything. Got a text from virgin saying that I'm moving to virgin on Jan 28th.

Will the number swap to virgin at midnight? or will I need to have my virgin simcard with me tomorrow, as the orange one will will stop working at some random point in the day?

It will be at some random point in the day. Best to either have two handsets or keep a hold of your Virgin SIM and when your Orange one dies swap over.

Thank you

It'll have to be taking both sim cards with me. My mum is using my old phone

Remember that the change isn't instantaneous. There can be quite a gap between the old SIM being disconnected and the new SIM receiving your number.
