So: who would it be? If you were blessed with the option to grant the character or characters of your choice a return pass to the soap of your choice for as long as you like, who would you go with? Whether they left or died is irrelevant!

As far as EE is concerned it'd definitely have to be Phil and Grant Mitchell. Without them the atmosphere in Albert Square is far too relaxed. Although bringing back Steve Owen would also be an opportunity I wouldn't turn down.. Andy just doesn't cut it for me as the local smarmy git.

In Corrie, although there are plenty of big names to choose from I'd rather have Toyah Battersby and Spider back on the street. For a long time they were my two fave characters and now that there's talk of bringing back Leanne I think it'd be great for all four Battersbys to be united again. As for Spider, he was just one of those sort of characters you either loved or hated. Personally I adored him.

Basically, I don't think anyone should be brought back in EE unless its Michelle. I was sad to read that she isn't coming back for Mark's funeral - surely they could have had another actress. I have said in previous threads that there should be a massive disaster in EE - fire, explosion, plane crash or whatever and that way all those with rubbish story lines can be obliterated in one go. I'm thinking of all the Ferraris (or is that a car?), Pauline, most of the Slaters and especially the Dad, Gus and Jules (ridiculous pair), and Martin. Let Sonja find someone decent for a change.

Yeh I think it would be good to have Carol Jackson return to the Square in EE. She was a good character, in fact the Jackson's were one of EE's best families. It's a shame Michelle Fowler won't be back for Mark's funeral and Carol won't be at Sonia's wedding, it makes things a bit more realistic but there ye go.
