My budgie keeps stealing my food.

he's very fond of curry, gravy, mashed potato, crisps (but not cheetos) and chicken strips.

I wouldn't let him eat these foods as they are not healthy for him.

if you know a way to stop him, let me know, i do animal management and i'm very well aware they're all bad for him but he won;t give in

Put him in a cage/other room while you're eating?

he does, you know, he's a reet wee mister.

it's really rather difficult to get him back into his cage, without darkening the room or waiting for him to go in there on his own

even then he gets onto the side of his cage & watches you eating it...
terrible.

there's no heating in the other room so it's too cold for him, & uncomfortable for us to eat in there

Does he drool? That's what my dog does when we're eating

If we shut her out she scratches the door

I guess I thought a budgie would be easier but I suppose it's not!

the main difference is, a dog won't fly down and land in your dinner while you're eating it

does anyone have any ideas why exactly he'll be after things with spices in - like the chicken strips and curry??
