Ooh, how strange - I'm the exact opposite! If I have a bath to relax, I have to have a shower afterwards to rinse off the bath-water I've been steeping in! I consider myself to be like a tea-bag - once all my juices have seeped out, I need a rinse-down!

When it comes to being indolent, slothful and lazy I'm your man, but I'd never dream in a million years of leaving the house dressed in my nightclothes.

Jeez, some folk have nae dignity and that's a fact.

Imagine bumping into a man in the tinned food aisle with his wee one-eyed todger keeking out from the dark, mouldy recesses of his jammy trousers ?

'You used to always be allowed in Tescos. But not now, it is ridiculous and stupid. I've got lovely pairs of pyjamas, with bears and penguins on them. I've worn my best ones today, just so I look tidy.'

That is going too far...I don't have animals on mine

Why do they wear slippers? They will just get dirty?

I agree. Mine are at least plaid or striped

When i get up one of the first things I do is shower, I never get dressed before that. i always like to be clean before i head off to uni every day.

That woman is an absolute moron.

^ Dumb quote of the day.

People who go outside with pyjamas on look lazy and stupid IMO!

They have every right to refuse entry to nutters like that

I think PJs are fine to go shopping in, now if you was to go out clubbing just wearing your underwear, now that would be shocking

While I would never do it, simply because I'm far too proud I do wish it was socially acceptable to leave the house in your pyjamas, dressing gown and slippers. They're so comfortable!

We're going on a school trip and leaving at 4am and have been told we're allowed to turn up in pyjamas...it's no one's business but ours...

Why can't you shop in pyjamas?! It's stoopid

I'm not kidding, I wouldn't do it 'cos I'd feel stoopid, but I may well choose cotton bottoms!

I don't go out shopping in my PJs

But some PJs look like Joggers so i can't see the problem realy

Now if people were to go out shopping in their sexy nightwear with bits hanging out now that would be so wrong, but saying that it would half brighten up my day

How can anyone think there would be a good excuse to go to the shop in your pjamas?
Taking laziness to a new extreme and I was horrified to read in the newspaper article that numerous Mum's at one school take their kids to school dressed in such attire WHERE'S YOUR PRIDE! Not to mention the hygiene side of it.Getting back into bed with the clothes you've been walking the streets in.....nice

I've spotted pyjama wearing shoppers a couple of times in the morning. They didn't offend me, I thought they were funny and smiled to myself because it's quite a rare sight where I live. However, having read this article, I feel it may be a slippery slope of slovenliness and laziness. Tesco are probably correct in setting a dress code. I especially agree with the headmaster regarding the school run pyjama wearers.

God, it's really gonna suck next time I break out of the asylum and fancy a packet of Jaffa Cakes.

I've been to the supermarket in my PJs, no slippers though I wore normal boots and I threw jogging bottoms on over the top and a long coat, hat and scarf. It was 2am Christmas eve and I was getting my last min fresh bits - I wanted to be in and out and back to bed as quick as I can. I can't imagine doing it in the day though.

People go shopping in their night clothes??

That is the very definition of sloven.

It's offensively chavvy. Especially when people are wearing them to go shopping during the day because they are too lazy to bother getting dressed.

Maybe I should get out more, but I've never seen or heard of this ever until now.

Lazy gits, how long does it take to put a pair of jeans and a jacket on? I don't want to do my shopping amongst unwashed chavs in their sweaty night attire, I hope this doesn't catch on where I live.

I wouldn't be seen outside my own door without being properly dressed.

In general, my opinion is that people who walk round a supermarket in the middle of the day are lazy, ill-disciplined and slovenly. I mean, I can understand if it's and emergency: late at night and a kid is ill, so you quickly put on a long coat and boots, totally covering you, to get some medicine or milk for the morning. However to go out of the house in broad daylight to do your weekly shop in your 'jamas is just weird.

Look at this woman here. She wouldn't look so bad if she wasn't wearing her slippers but the thought that she slept in those clothes and probably hasn't changed out of them for a few days...yuK!
