She doesn't deserve our sympathy or to be served if she has two young children and smokes

I'd rather see people in pyjamas than miniskirts and belly-revealing strappy tops!
However, I'd think it was stupid if miniskirts were banned from supermarkets.

I wouldn't have thought that most normal people paid loads of attention to what others are wearing in the supermarket (unless it's nothing) - people get offended by the most ridiculous things!

Their shop their rules! Just shop elsewhere or wash and put clothes on.

I don't see what the problem is, god it's public not exactly a place for wearing PJs. Even at a push is it really such a hardship to put on a pair of jogging bottoms and a jumper?

Someone who thinks it's fine to go out, shopping or whatever, in their pjs really shouldn't be bringing children up...what standards are they teaching them?

[quote=lolly-licker;38158431] We're going on a school trip and leaving at 4am and have been told we're allowed to turn up in pyjamas...it's no one's business but ours...

HaHa my childrens school are now warning pupils not too turn up for coach trip in PJ`s as in previous years. They went to France and not so convenient on ferry - or worse still during the day in France. Make sure you have clothes to change in to to hand - lol : )

The whole idea of being in a supermarket in PJ`s is too much like the nightmare of being naked!!! Do these people take the time to wash - in their busy lives ? !

[[b]QUOTE=jagged_death;38161355]If she went to all that effort to pick out a "lovely pair" of pyjamas wouldn't it have been easier to just put some nice outdoor clothes on

That`s what I thought - lol

I like the girls who go shopping in those oversized uni hoodies, a scarf, a coat etc and then have just ugg boots and barely there hotpants down below.
What's the point wearing so many layers on the top if your bum is gonna get frostbite?
I'd never go to the shop in my PJs, but I don't have a problem with people who do- it's just a bit funny.

She said she had been "popping in for a pack of fags," but if she had been doing a full shop "then we obviously would have gone in clothed".

"But we only wanted fags and they still refused us to go in for a pack of cigarettes," she added.

Ms Carmody, who spoke after spending £102 in the supermarket, added: "If you're allowed to wear jogging bottoms, why aren't you allowed to wear pyjamas in there, that's what I don't understand?

"I think it's stupid really not being allowed in the supermarket with pyjamas on.

"It's not as if they're going to fall down or anything like that. They should be happy because you're going to spend all that money."

She went on: "It's not as if you're making a show, if anything, they should be happy because you're spending your money in their shop, but obviously they're not, because you're not allowed in with pyjamas.

"So they're going to lose their custom, with people going to other shops to buy stuff and they're allowed in with their pyjamas on."

Well put jogging bottoms (or your shell-suit) on then, talk about lazy.

10.30/11am & she's still in her pyjamas. And she talks about putting on a decent pair if she's going shopping - if she can do that, why couldn't she just put on some proper clothes instead? There's something odd about someone who (a) thinks it appropriate to wear pyjamas shopping, & (b) gives their name to reporters & has her photo taken while complaining that the shop won't allow her to shop in her nightclothes.

No1...Pyjamas are ok if the fire brigade are involved.
No2... if you are Hugh Hefner.
The only two reasons people should be outside in their nightgowns

Joggin' bottoms look just as foul as PJs.

Why do people get so upset at what other people are wearing?

To those convinced it must only be chavs wearing their PJs to the supermarket... St Mellons is a fairly "upmarket" place.

ha ha that would make a great cartoon.

I have in the past (many moons ago) on occasions had to wear pyjamas and overcoat when running late on the school run LOL.

I only wear PJs now because they are soooo comfortable and some of them look like normal jogging sets oops i hasten to add in bed not outside lol.

I think it is quite funny really too. I mean as long as someone isnt wearing a see through nightie LOL I cant see the offence.

In 2007 Tesco had a TV advert that featured Martin Clunes going into a Tesco store, in his PJ'S.

Ewwwww! Seriously? People shop without changing their bedclothes? WTF is wrong with people? Please wash and make an effort when dealing with others outside your stinky family.
