I wont bang on here about tortoises, save to say I am a little passionate about these fascinating creatures and I get so bloody angry about the way man has treated them.
Just take a look at this http://www.sillysausage.**********.o...t240.html#p240
Tortoises evolved over 200 million years ago, they survived the mass extinction which wiped out the dinosaurs and their ancestors (the Anapsids, the earliest known tortoise like animal) survived the Permian-Triassic extinction event, over 300 million years ago, the greatest mass extinction ever, wipping out 90% of species.
The question is, can they survive man? Or will man do what nature could not?
