I'm surprised but please to see The Kinks are doing so well, I think their influnce on British music has often been somewhat under-rated.

With 28% of the vote, the band finishing in fifth place is.....
The Rolling Stones! First time in the bottom two was unlucky for The Stones as they leave the competition in 5th place. But they are an amazing band with such a catalogue of fantastic songs and am gonna pick my own faourite Stones track for them to sing us out....so now its The Rolling Stones with the fantastic Gimme Shelter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJMnES7WoT4 |

Glad to see the Kinks doing so well, despite my love of the Beatles, they deserve to win this year. Their influence on British music is definitely underrated, think of Oasis, Blur, the Jam, Kaiser Chiefs, etc., all influenced by the Kinks.

Very surprising about the Kinks, but Ray Davies is a legend.
