You're right, the only way to deal with being dumped is to join in the victimisation of one person with the support of an entire crowd of people.

Surely if his precious male pride had been so scarred he'd have stayed clear of her after that.

I think he's still hurting, fell for Kat therefore had to get in quick and be seen to be not to be bothered but in doing so totally disrespected her. Just the actions of a young man who needs to grow up.

I'm happy he did it, not because I dislike Katia but because if he'd had admitted that he still liked her, there's every chance he could have got his heart broken somewhere down the line.

That being said though, I don't think he went about it in the best way. He didn't really need to be that harsh to her, he knew the crowd would cheer him for saying it.
