Lol, yeah, I remember that business adventure.. Classic Fred..

Ugh, I totally agree there.. Although a month or so ago I saw Ashley in a new light and realised that he's actually pretty buff! (I developed this theory when he took off his shirt during the hotel episode) Shame about his head though..

Ok, from reading the DS episode spoiler linked in the other Fred-related thread I've worked out who's missing from the list. Sybil was left out, she was Fred's very first of three wives..

Yes, but she was married to Fred donkey's years ago before the character appeared in Coronation street, so she doesn't really count. She was married to him for quite a long time so it was before the serial proposing years.

Oh, I didn't realise that. Sorry then, continue!

lol well I'm thinking that there are definitely more than six so I reckon the Rita thing is probably true. So we'll add her. So the list is now:

• Maureen Lipman (a, m)
• Rita Sullivan
• Audrey Roberts
• Eve Sykes (a, m)
• Lillian Spencer
• Doreen Heavey (a)
• Penny King

Yeah, I read that Rita was proposed to on the DS spoiler as well. So we can confirm her and confirm that Fred is indeed (unforunately) the Street's biggest Romeo..

He hasn't proposed to Emily Bishop either, and yet I bet they'd have a lot in common.. (???)

Its quite obvious that Fred is proposing to all these women (that he hardly knows) to hide the fact (in a Todd-stylie) that he is fact gay. It sticks out a mile!

Does it really stick out a mile. FRED ELLIOT is not gay.

He proposed to Audrey twice. I can't remember the first time but the second time he did it in France n a Vine Yard and she said yes for a while but changed her mind.

Oh yea, i liked it when he proposed in the vine yard and wished she would have accepted!

Actually, yeah, that was one of Fred's less-rushed, romantic efforts to get himself down the aisle.. Shame Audrey hadn't been sampling some local wine, might've swayed her decision..

Awwww..... Oh dear Fred. Stop the exercising because it looks like you're going to be made a fool of yet again! Dennis isn't who he seems, but a con-artist and I presume his "lovely Lillie" is all part of his scheme to force Fred and other susceptible men to part with their money, in return for the "perfect wife" Who will not be travelling from Thailand, but down't road! a market trader who will soon have eyes for Fred. Bless him. Quite the handsome fellow in his younger days wasn't he?

The pic reminded me of Matt Baker from "Blue Peter". Quite a revelation. I wonder if the wedding pic was Savident's own as well?

I wonder if the Corrie writers got fed and decided to play the Old Adage Card...meaning that each character in Corrie has an adage attached to them...Fred I think would be 'An old fool and his money are soon parted '.....for Todd it would be of course ' Two's company, three's a crowd' .......for Shelly maybe it would be...' If at first you don't suceed try try again even with an Irish barman '...For Dev I think it could be 'Keep your friends close and your (soon to be) enemies even closer' '.....Les Battersby...hmmm.. 'Can't keep a good dog down '... Anybody else have any suggestions ??
