Heather can already skate better than Coleen - maybe that's the problem.

As Victor Mildrew would have said "I don't believe it". If, maybe, just maybe, Karen had said something like that to Heather it might, just might have carried some weight but from Coleen Nolan - scuse me whilst I have a laugh and lose control of my bladder. Did she focus on her skating last year - no - all she did was moan and complain how difficult it was, how injured she was and how she skated through the pain - brave little soldier that she is. When Heather is given constructive criticism she takes it all on board as she is very determined. She has decided she is going to learn to skate and skate she will no matter what obstacle she has to deal without playing the sympathy card. Can the same be said of Coleen?

I politely suggest that Mrs. Fensome keeps her trap shut until she has walked for two weeks in Heather Mills' moccasins and actually knows what she is talking about.

Heather has not put her best foot forward for ages.

She even had to declare her generosity in giving her skate partner a raise.

She does charity, you know.

True and she is minimally older than Heather into the bargain. She is a hypocrite she bored for Britain last year. Why do we have to put up with her for a further year in her slot on the Friday show in which she is total rubbish is beyond a joke.

I too am no fan of Ms Mills but she appears to make a better job of skating than the abysmal Ms Nolan did even after a few weeks.

Maybe Heather will stop harping on about her artificial leg when people stop asking her about it.

Coleen couldn't skate for toffee with two healthy legs. Heather is great with one fake one! Go figure. Nolan should just shut up.

I agree with all you have said. Last year Coleen's participation became too painful to bear, for the viewers that is. She constantly acted as though being on the show was the most dreadful thing to ever have happened to her. Heather in comparison has just got on with it and seems to be approaching her participation in the show in a positive way. As far as I can see/hear the only times Heather has mentioned the problems caused to her due to having an artificial leg has been in response to questions or in VT to explain certain moves. Crikey, I am now sounding like a Mills fan, so please shut up Coleen!

You see, you're only seeing Heather through her disability.

The- 'isn't she doing well on one leg' thing.

It's prejudicial to her as a human being.

Jason doesn't- which is commendable.

But he is the only one.

I am not particularly a Heather Mills fan & she should zip it on the charity thing. But at least she looks like she is working hard & enjoying her skating.

She is a much better skater than Coleen ever was.

Maybe she will if Jason stopped asking about it, and she didn;t mention a charity last week, she's a terrible host is Nolan.

Well I am not a Nolan fan(can't stand her) but I don't see why we need to hear about the leg all the time? We all know about it. Really do we need any sob stories at all?? Almost like the Xfactor where even a dead dog will be talked about for the sympathy vote rather than the talent vote!

Methinks Nolan resents being shown up in skating ability by a woman with one leg who is about the same age.

Nolan's hypocrisy on top of all the moaning she did last year does push me towards a more sympathetic view of Ms Mills who I couldn't stand before.

What on earth are they using Colleen for. She not only couldn't skate she can't interview or present. If they wanted someone show connected Melinda has been doing a really good job presenting on Five and had past experience and Zoe had more live TV presenting experience than most doing BP - both could skate too. If they could easily have found 2 better people from the last series there are probably others from previous series too - Clare has done more TV and sings better than Colleen and skates better than anyone this year so far too, and there are probably others.

There do seem to be a fair amount of candidates for the post of presenter among the past contestants. Unfortunately, those with the decision making power see the success of Loose Women, couple it with the popularity of Coleen last year (despite no discernible ability) and come up with a sure fire winner, yes?

By the way, I hear Melinda may be looking for a job now...

I think Ben and Coleen are as bad as each other tbh - I expected Ben to be better than he is.

I would have put Suzanne on that list as well as she's done alot of tv and show presenting, though she couldnt do it now with Emmerdale. Clare has acting but no presenting experience, though why they couldnt have ben present it and clare asking questions out on the rink I dont know. I think Melinda is a better presenter than zoe personally, I wouldnt have minded her getting the job...
