I don't like Heather one bit but, credit where it's due, she's got far more determination than La Nolan.”

But for all we know she does say that. She might comment on the probability of finding the Higgs boson this year or plate techtonics in relation to Haiti talking to them - but if they don't show it we are no wiser. All they have to do is say "Is your leg falling off today?" , film the answer and edit it and all you will see is her talking about her leg.

I know. I didn't really mean that I expected to hear her say it on screen, just that I expected her to say it, and to insist that they take heed. If she doesn't, then maybe she is happy to use it to her advantage.

Well I did say earlier that it might be in Heather's interest to divert discussions away from mentioning her leg. However, this week mention of it seemed to be unavoidable, since the problems with her leg did have a very significant effect on her training and performance. I felt sorry for her, since it must have been so frustrating, but also admired her for persevering.

Sorry but you have just fallen into the Heather Mills "Please feel sorry for me" vote.

Coleen is spot on and I am already sick of hereing Heather go on about her leg and charity. At the end of the day Coleen is only there to try and help the skaters, she is not against them and she would not be jealous of Heathers skating at all. Heather was very, very lucky not to be in the bottom two tonight!

I really cannot understand the bitchy remarks towards Coleen again this week. It really is not very becoming!

It's the hypocrisy people dislike (amongst other things) about Coleen. She didn't focus on her skating, kept banging on about how hard it was for her because of her age etc. & begged for votes on Loose Women yet she criticises Heather for not focusing on her skating. Unbelievable.

The shows talks about every celeb's training difficulties. In Heather's case, that will inevitably involve her leg in many cases. It's absurd to think the leg shouldn't be mentioned -- unless they're going to change the show so it doesn't mention anyone's training difficulties.

It really is pretty naive to think that Heather will ever stop mentioning her leg.

I think it`s a possibility....

But it's inevitable that many of her difficulties will involve her leg.

If other celebs can mention whatever difficulties they have, then Heather should be able to mention hers.

Dinna fret I didn't vote for her and never would but still think it shows Colleen up in an even worse light than before. She is quite happy to see her flaws in others and comment negatively on them. She is completely blind to those same flaws in herself. Classic narcissistic behaviour.

Heather really struggled this week and I think may be rapidly reaching the limit of what she can do with her 'leg'. I don't like her personality but it doesn't mean I can't think Colleen is hypocritical when she is. At least Heather doesn't go on and on about how much she hates it while at the same time begging for people to vote to keep her in and truly believing she deserves to be in on merit as Colleen misguidedly did. Heather has skated better with one good leg than Colleen with two - and whinges less. Don't like either of them but if I had to choose one then I'd have to choose Heather over Colleen in this show.

Spot on. I think the viewing public and press have been incredibly hard on Heather over the years anyway, especially as she was never going to come across well having divorced the 'national treasure' that is Paul McCartney. She got all the blame and he came out smelling of flowers. She is brave to put herself out there and claw back some credibility. Colleen Noleen has a damned nerve making the comments she is making about her, especially after her whingeing, complaining, begging behaviour when she was a contestent.

That does nothing to make Coleen's comments any more acceptable, though, or stop them from being hypocritical.”

That's exactly it. For every person that has some empathy with Heather, there are 1000 that are standing ready with a shotgun, such is the public media frenzied view of her. There was nothing positive whatsoever about her in the media over the years so it is hardly surprising. She was a pantomine villain in much the same vain 'boo-them-off-stage' way that Katie Price is now. Some of the vile comments I have heard from public figures, the press and people in general about her disability, goes beyond the pale. It really is shocking and is beyond humour. I think it is fair to say that the editing for DOI only ever focuses on her 'leg comments'. She may have said 80 other things, but they will always hone in on this topic so it seems that is all she talks about. It has also been pointed out on here tha everyone talks about what they struggle with and inevitably for her, it will be the heavy prosthetic leg and the pain it causes her. Maybe some people just need to find a little empathy and generosity of spirit to allow for this 'little indulgence' which is actually not an indulgence at all.

Seems to me DOI fans and people in general are ever ready to knife her for talking about it. There again, they were ever ready to knive her for just existing not so long ago, such was the power of Saint McCartney. I have no strong feeling either way about Heather Mills and was probably more judgmental of her choice of partner and lifestyle in the past. But having seen the vilification, horribly unfair way she has been treated by the Press and Public and the sickening things that have been said about her (no holds barred it seems), I will say I have massive respect for her determination, positivity, bravery and strength in adversity.

I think that Colleen shows total hypocrisy having whinged her way through last year's show trying to get sympathy for her age, her 'lack of confidence' and judges 'being mean to her' (anyone who criticised her skating)

However much as I think that Heather is better that expected I think that Heather does milk her disability - but she tries to do it in a subtle way
- remember week 1 when she had her first T&D lesson she skated with the leg of her trousers rolled up on one side? - not saying anything but the picture painted 1000 words
- how often has she been photographed carrying a false leg with a skate on?
- I think the current problems are being milked

Well said! I totally agree with you.

Heather was a far better skater in week 1 than Colleen throughout the whole series.

Mills losing her leg has been her saviour, I know it sounds bad and I feel for anyone who has sufffered like this, but she shouldnt have gone on the show if she knew what it might cause.. she has done well I admit but cant see her staying there for much longer.
