Mine too - but how the hell did Danny find himself in the skate off?

As a non performer Tana was always fighting a losing battle, but that smile would illuminate the darkest corner.

What a lovely and modest sweetheart.
He was midtable and given a very bland routine for some reason. The wandering fanbase for the guys used up their votes before reaching Danny (as Gary's more traditonally good looking, Mikey had a great routine, Kieran had a journey in regards to rhythm and was probably slightly undermarked, Hilary had the sympathy vote).

I agree on Tana, not the best skater ever, but lovely all the same.

Hayley is definitely looking like a "judges' favourite".

Anyone else who performed so much of their routine so poorly would have been hammered for it. (There was quite a bit of poorly done stuff somewhere in the middle of it.)

Didn`t they mention last week that they`re letting Sharron wear more or less a swimsuit as that is what she feels most comfortable wearing?
Good thing she wasn't a nudist or a lap dancer or a deep sea diver in her past career then?

Would have thought if the boys have to go outside their comfort zone and don lycra and sequins and lord knows what under it they could expect Sharon to wear a dress? What an odd way around too - she wants less clothing not more?

What a suprise the doctor is through again. Do people genually like him, or do they enjoy the rubbish skating?

I started the show wanting him to be the one to leave, but he surprised me last night by not being nearly so bad! Well, I thought he'd improved .. he should still be out soon, though.

I agree, I never like teachers pets! Much of her routine was being hauled into the air not that elegantly, her grin is also very irritating to me anyway.

I don't think so.

Thank goodness someone else agrees with me.

I thought she made a right mess in the middle and shouldn't have got the score she did.

I think it was clearly a joke about the swimming suit! She was a professional swimmer 20 years ago! Don't think she'll be asking to wear the outfits she is!!

Perhaps if she hadn't 'made a right mess in the middle' as you put it, she would have got even higher marks.

Despite being a firm Fred fan (and my, isn't he firm?!) I actually thought Hilary had improved more than Emily. This week, Hilary looked more assured and safe on the ice. I was surprised that Emily had a slip considering the amount of time she spends surgically attached to Fred.

I was surprised to see Sharron in tears during the rehearsals, she has always struck me as being as hard as nails and not one to let her emotions show...how she is going to get over the latest outburst from Jason and be able to come back fighting is anyones guess. I feel sorry for her and her family having to endure comments like that!

I doubt it.

It looks like a classic case of judges deciding someone had the most ability and hence overlooking significant flaws in the routine. With a less messy middle, she'd have gotten essentially the same marks.

(BWT -- and just to be clear -- when I mentioned the middle above, it wasn't about just one moment or incident that was messy.)

I agree to an extent. I've already said I didn't think that Hayley's top of the leaderboard status would be doing her any favours. She can dance and perform (although I doubt she's everyone's cup of tea), she's clearly very confident on the ice and she has a good connection with her partner. However, she doesn't look obviously better (taking everything into consideration) than one or two others although she's getting the verdict of the panel. I still think this may prove to be more blessing than curse and ,unless something changes, I don't see Hayley picking up the title at the end of the series. Indeed, if she reaches the final without at least a couple of skate offs I'll be surprised.

Robin compared her to Bonnie on This Morning on Monday. I laughed when I heard that & did think that's cost her a shed load of votes.

Danny being in the bottom 2 has a lot (IMO) to do with the choreography. It was dull tonight, and it wasn't down to him.

TBH - the choreography tonight seemed to have been dreamed up by setting up dances for random people, then picking the couples out of a hat.

Why did Mikey get the personality routine, when it's Gary who is finding it hard to stand outuld've learnt more by having to act a specific part in Cecilia. Mikey can seemingly sell a performance with any song; if they had made the routine more complicated he could've danced to Danny (hell, Danny could've danced to a more complicated routine than that!)

Why did Kieran get given an overly rhythmic routine which resulted in him focusing more on that and losing out on skating and lifting? Easy would've allowed him to focus on developing his skating and lifting skills with a simpler method.

Why did Tana get the fast routine when she's still hasn't got a grip on basic skating, while Danny gets a slow, simple routine that couldn't show any development whatsoever for him?

Why did Heather get a routine which was going to damage her artifical leg (I can't believe Heather didn't warn them this could be an issue) while Emily got a routine which was relatively easy on the legs? Admittedly, it would have to have been made slightly more complex for Heather.

For me, the only three couples who got the right routine tonight were Sharron and Pavel, Daniella and Matthew and Dr. Hilary and Alexandra.
Heather said, the week before, that there was no chance of her leg coming off, so has been proved wrong. I understand that they can't discriminate against her now that she's taking part, but I don't think allowances should be made for her, other than trying to get an artificial leg that fits properly.
