All DECT based handsets and Base Stations can interoperate.

Gap is what allows you to connect a phone, I got a set of BT synergy and connected one of my old NTL pphone for the bedroom, it works ok for a basic phone, which is all what I need in the bedroom. GAP=General Access Profile.

You may not get all the features on the Diverse, but you will be able to make and receive calls. Example is that I can't acess the Synergy answering machine from the NTL phone or copy a number from a synergy phone to the NTL phone and have to add it myself.

But it saved me having to buy 4 new phones.
