Its nice for a change to see all the contestants start off at more or less the same level and to see how some progress more than others. As opposed to having one or two that has already had skating experience in previous years.

Much as I'd love this to be the case, I dont agree at all. Mikey is a good skater and has the personality and fanbase to get him far but I don't think it'll guarantee him the win, anything could happen in the coming weeks.
I'm definitely appreciating the openness of the competition on the show, there's a front four couples and I think any of them could win - I would've included Danny in that but seems he might not have the public vote after this evening. If Danniella ends up there too we're down to Hayley versus Mikey. On the bright side at least it isn't like X Factor where they'd have probably sent Gary and Danny home by now |

It's not bookies, it's people betting who know the votes. It happens when the lines open. It's brazen and plain as day, they were also positive Tana would be bottom two and Sharon wouldn't, even though she has been twice before.

So are you saying that people with insider info i.e. people working on the show who know the votes are betting on results. That's illegal isn't it?

Oh, and someone just bet on Dr Hilary to win at 24/1...lol
Everything I own he's in the top three vote getters. |

Although there is nobody this year who is even close to being in the same class as Ray Quinn, it seems to me the result is still pretty obvious. It looks like being between Mikey and Hayley and, since Mikey doesn't have the insane grin that so many people find irritating, he will win.

![]() It doesn't need to be that obvious at this stage though, it's a balls up. (though I've started to quite like Hayley, but I know what you mean) |

I like Mikey, Daniella, Hayley and Gary because they have somewhere to progress to. Ray, though a brilliant skater, was alway great so I lost interest.

Not really, she's carried most of the time, just very confident and has a good friendship with her partner.

Apart from Sinitta, I think the ditching decisions so far haven't hurt the competition - but unless Emily and Dr Hils are cut loose pretty quickly, then another Coleen-style scenario is going to develop.
I think there's plenty of competition for the best, and plenty of potential among the also-rans. Mikey, Daniella and Hayley are in the lead at the moment, but Danny, Gary and even Kieron will be snapping at their heels as they continue to learn and develop. And Sharron could yet stun us all - she's improved so much in the three routines she's done that by the end of the show she could be a taller version of Suzanne Shaw. So no need for despair just yet - and think how exciting the skate-offs will be once it starts getting close!

I don't get this at all - she does skate solo and does it very well.

I'd rather a close competition of average skaters trying to improve than a runaway winner with prior experience.
If you want to watch really good skating, what's stopping you from watching professionals? |
