You should be angry at yourself! You've robbed yourself about a years worth of an amazing song!

Have you heard Drumming Song and Cosmic Love?
Those are my favourites by Flo

You're a bit late, but I'll let you off because you have great taste Flo is amazing; I can't recommend her album, Lungs, enough. You must get it if you haven't already

One problem - she can't sing. And how if she's only 23? Does she look like my mum. Style and hype over substance.

No, she can sing, and is very good. What you mean to say is that you don't like her voice tone, which is perfectly reasonable.

Is there a voice tone - god awful - first I've heard of it. Even fans of hers say they can't listen to more than 3 or 4 songs in a row. Sorry that ain't a singer - that's a product placement.

I don't know, does she look like your mum?

I would imagine you're in a better position to judge than us.

Sweeping generalisations will never help an argument gain more credibility.

But not on this thread - which shows the direct argument against yours.

Your use of "fans" does indeed make it a generalisation, as you offered an opinion inferred to be held by all Florence & The Machine fans.

Well I can listen to the whole album. What are you on about. Why would you even call yourself a fan if you could only listen to 3 songs in a row

I'm a fairly new fan, only really discovered her after You Got The Love was played at the end of Hollyoaks Later and sounded amazing so I got the album.

I highly highly recommend her version of Halo by Beyoncé though, I can listen to it on repeat for hours without getting bored its fabulous.

Dog Days or Ghost is probably my fave song from the album though. Love the whole thing though.

Do you even know what product placement is? Maybe if she was constantly flogging cans of Pepsi and sang about talking to her best mates on her new NG Nokia phone or whatever, but your argument holds no water there.

Well, each Florence song on my ipod has over 20 plays EACH on my iPod. You've Got The Love is in my top 5 most played.

There's a difference between one person (that person presumably being you) finding her voice grating and her not being able to sing (you'd have to be rather ignorant to say she can't). You wouldn't really be a fan either if you couldn't listen to more than 3 or 4 of her songs in a row.

To the OP, if you liked Dog Days try listening to Drumming Song, Rabbit Heart, Howl, Cosmic Love etc... or just buy the album, because it was easily one of the best albums of 2009.

They're releasing Hurricane Drunk in March I think, the video was shown for the first time on channel 4 a few nights ago.

The most overplayed and over-rated artist of 2009, imo.
