ITA with your opinion - Zoe to me was much fresher looking too.

I tend to agree with those who say your theory is daft as well. There have been plenty of good looking women do well in reality shows, Alesha Dixon, Leona Lewis, Rachel Stevens, Sophie Reade etc. I could go on.

I find some of your comments to be quite personal. Trawling through people's posting histories and finding mud to sling at them is unessecary and direspectful.”

I will hold my hands up I dont like when people speak for everyone and I did the same which was wrong and I withdraw my comment. As far as my theory re good looking women getting voted off early on reality shows it is a fact that Women tend to vote for Men.

I'm sure that's the case with Dr Hilary!

A few years ago I may have agreed with you about the women voting for good looking men theory. However there seems to have been a change in this trend, and you had Ricky Whittle stuggling to stay in Strictly despite being the best dancer.

Also tonight both Danny and Gary were in the bottom three.

It is interesting that everyone seems to assume that it's Fred that's getting her through. But as others have pointed out Fred was in loads of Skate offs in previous series. He had a number of skate offs with Zaraah & they were the best in the series that year after Suzanne & Chris.

I thought that Meilinda had a much nicer personailty last year & a better skater but they didn't seem to win over the voters. So who knows.

I'm a massive Fred & Mel fan but haven't voted for Fred & Emily but glad they have got through for Fred. At least in Mikey & Mel I can support one of my fave pros, a great skater & a really likeable person too.

We dont know where Gary was placed. All those who avoid the dance off are called out "in no particular order."

EDIT: I think Emily was undermarked. Possibly due to her performing so early in the show (I think Keiran suffered with this too) and there is nothing like being undermarked for gaining you votes. Not that I voted, mind you.

Yes, I'm in agreement with you. It's a curious thing with Fred why he has previously had a high skate-off rate, although I do think he tends to get paired with celebs with the lesser skating ability (Sarah Greene, Kay Burley, Melinda). Perhaps with Zaraah, their popularity was lower because she came in later and people had already chosen their favourites.

There's no doubting Fred's personal ability, so with the exception of Emily so far, why has he ended up in so many skate-offs?

I think she's acting better (and better than the non actresses anyway) and she's getting one or two difficult moves right each week - usually including one decent lift. Her skating at times looks OK too. Her big problem is she doesn't flow between moves and she makes mistakes.

One reason why she looks more stagnating even than she should may be the move where she is lifted up under her arms and carried infront of Fred which seems to turn up quite early every week. It creates the impression she needs to be carried around and as we have seen it every week it looks like she is doing the same act because at that point she is.

At the moment I think she's got more potential than she's showing and she's getting too little emphasis in training on what needs to be improved and lazy choregraphy that concentrates on doing one big new move, the same old stuff and not sorting out what needs developing.

Interesting points - thanks networkbabe.

I think Emily and Fred both get though on being gorgeous...however, Emily is a rubbish skater and I am not hopeful she will improve.

Emily's not gorgeous, she's not even pretty. She's got a round, flat face and from what bit I've seen of her in the VTs etc. she's got a bit of an attitude problem and on top of all that she can't skate, won't skate. If it wasn't for poor Fred, I'd want her to get voted out PDQ.

Can I just say I agree. I normally rate Robin as the best judge, but giving Emily a 3 and Mikey a 3.5 was rather strange.

Overall Emily is still not the worst in the competition (Dr Hilary springs to mind). And although I like Tana as a person, I agreed that it was her time to go.

Emily should have been in the skate off, definitely the worst skater on the night imo.

I like her because we're the same age and she makes me laugh because I know I'd be the exact same if I was on it. She's not taking it too seriously (as in, life or death) but why should she? It's Dancing On Ice! She's trying, you can tell!

I don't think she's getting through because she's pretty. Who would vote for that? Fred has been in skate offs many a time with Melinda last year, so it's not just his fanbase getting them through.

She'll probably be like Roxanne was last year. A skate off is looming I think!

Erm, I respectfully disagree. She's lurvely. Although I must admit I felt a bit seedy when I realised that Kate Robbins was her Mum as I used to fancy her too when she was younger.

I like Emily, I like her personality

Yes she is cute but I have also seen the same comment of being cute aimed at Haley

Emily may have the 'cute factor' but she was also IMO undermarked last night

I have a theory of why Fred suffered so many skate off. His twisted fans wants to see his body parts move in all his glory if he's in the skate-off.

I haven't warmed to Emily. Maybe it was the first week of her squealing like a little animal, and going all girly and lazy. She seemed to improve in the third week and then stagnate last Saturday. I can't see a marked improvement in her skating at all. Then again, I can't abide by Nicky's and Jason's scores for her. Methinks that strange though it may be, Robin's score helped even out the situation somewhat.

As of now, Emily is under the 'I can take it or leave it' catergory. Not too bad, but not brilliant either.

Based on appearance alone, I won't go for her at all. Had experience with the likes of her (girly, squealy, quite attention-seeking etc., self-absorbed etc.). Once is enough, thank you very much.

I think Tana was the most beautiful woman in this year's competition (that face! that figure! after four children!!) and it didn't save her. Maybe young women identify with Emily and get where she's coming from, so vote for her? Maybe I've been a bit harsh; maybe her skating isn't that great, but who says you have to be brilliant to take part? I think I must try to be less judgemental.

I'm a heterosexual bloke. I love very attractive girls. Emily was dreadful last night and, just as I'm not going to criticise her because she's attractive, I'm not going to give her a free pass because of it either.

I've been disappointed with Emily's skating ability, as I would like to see Fred go further in the competition.

I think she would do herself a lot of favours if she could show that she can skate alone, as much of her routines involve her clinging on to Fred for dear life. I'm not expecting miracles but I hope that is their next goal for her.
