Given that Oscar Pistorius is considered to have an advantage over non-disabled people, perhaps Heather Mills is equally advantaged ... after all, she could hide a bottle of Scotch in it.

Other pros & celebs on twitter ask people to vote for them. I don't see the problem. As you said you don't have to vote, he's not holding a gun to your head.

Much as I'm not a fan of Ms Mills, her leg is relevant and it's not always her that brings it up. I thought her performance on Sunday was not very good, she lacks grace probably because of 'the leg' I don't thinks she should have special treatment or that she herself would want it. Well done to her that she is able to skate at all and is much better than some who have been in doi (Ms Nolan springs to mind).

I wonder if she'll feature on Harry Hill's show? I'd pay to see that...

What would Heather have done with herself if she had NOT lost part of her leg. Luckily for her she has her knee joint which makes it a lot easier to walk on her false leg. I am bored to death with the constants reference to her leg in the newspapers and on the show. Didn't she know it was an ice skating programme? Does she just want the sympathy vote. I notice even Jason is super careful what he says to Heather Mills. Perhaps they are frightened of a meltdown if they criticise her. Shut up Heather, stop making excuses and skate.

The argument he had with her last week over the position her leg falls into when she skates was pretty full-on.

The whole leg issue is the 'thing' that the producers have decided should be focused on with Heather - considerably aided and abetted by the lady herself, sure, but if they didn't want her trials and tribulations showing, you can bet your life they wouldn't be in the VTs. Expect a lot more of it as the show goes on.

Personally I don't see it as a big deal. The whole 'skating on one real leg and one fake leg' is pretty intriguing to those of us who aren't disabled and I think a lot of people have been surprised by just how much Heather can accomplish.

Plus she warned everyone at the start that the leg might cause bother for purely practical, physical reasons. Heather hasn't balked at anything she's been asked to do and even managed to skate on Sunday when the ill-fitting leg was plainly causing bother. I don't think those are the actions of a woman asking for sympathy at all.

I think it is good to show people with disabilities competing on equal terms with others. Heather has one leg, some of the contestants have no rhythm or natural grace others are clearly nervous. Ultimately they have to be judged on how well they perform.

Heather is better than some contestants and not as good as others. Her leg issues are irrelevant to me and she should be judged solely on her skating.

I agree. She is not touting for sympathy; she is touting for admiration.

Her only foot, you mean?

Honestly, how many of us, when she skates, watch the leg rather than her? Just waiting for that "pop"!

People waited for her leg to fall off on Dancing With The Stars and it didn`t (although she did fall over!).
At the moment she is struggling even though she has the money to send out for new, custom-made legs every five seconds. How does that make her an inspiration to the average amputee?

I agree with you.
I have no particular view on the McCartney/Mills divorce issue, it largely passed me by. Not sure I'm terribly impressed with some of the other things Heather is said to have done (taking credit for another journalists work for instance), but since I'm clearly not in possession of all the facts I can't give that too much weight.
I am however impressed with her desire to show what can be done with her particular disability and the effort she puts in. For the first few weeks she definitely showed that she could compete at least with the "middle order" of competitors. I do think though that last week she possibly did give one of the worst performances and the judges marks reflected that.

I agree with the OP though that I really don't want to hear much more about her leg issues. As others have said...we know about that already, as do the judges. Leave it alone, stay away from the rather patronising "she's doing will in the circumstances" and let us judge Heather on an equal basis with the others as she has suggested she wants us to!

I'm also getting quite sick of her mentioning her artificial leg all the time-i've just figured to mute the tv when they chat to her though

I have absolutely no feelings about Paul.

I can't stand the woman for numerous reasons.
One of them being the way she implies that she is the world's only one legged ice skater.
Another is that she simply does not shut up about her leg.

If she really wanted to be judged on her skating ability, then maybe she should talk more about her skating, not about all the things that are made more difficult for her because she only has one leg.
