A cousin of mine lives in Australia and shes just told me in one of their TV magazines it is reported that Doug and Pam Willis will return to Neighbours in the Autumn.

Apparently because of Karl and Susan's split, they move out. The house becomes available and the couple move back in.

Not sure how long for though.

i heard the rumour about a week a go, friend of a friend and all that.

if it has been in a magazine then it must have some credibility.

I really doubt it, because..

They got rid of them after 2 years

Apparently the actor and actress of Doug and Pam don't get on in real life, the reason for the family leaving

Would it be realistic for them to come back to the place where there daughter was shot dead by druggies?

Karl and Susan will eventually get back together

Do Pam and Doug have much there? Cody's dead and I don't think Gaby or Brad would come back to live with them

NO i'm trying to say that in a soap where...

Harold 'returned' from the dead...
A character like Rocko could exist in a quiet Australian suburb...
...and a girl like Summer could not get on everyone's nerves...
..anything is possible... 'serial_killer'

Say that for every soap stevehayter. I think australians soaps credibility have really fallen. The sutherlands in Home & Away, what they've gone through in 3 years and a half is frankly unbelievable.

I think its about time neighbours brought back some old characters. Maybe one of Lou's daughters could visit - or even Joe, dorithy, or perhaps Pheobe could bring hope back to the place where her father died to let her see his grave etc...

I'll have to second that too! That family must be cursed or something!

I presume you mean Lauren (left 1994) - could happen I suppose. She returned to Queensland for her old job, and despite marital difficulties, appeared to live 'happily ever after'.
or even Joe
I'll assume you mean Joe Mangle (left 1991) - being Sky's adoptive father, this would make a great storyline, Buy i'm pretty sure the issue of Joe Mangle has been discussed within the Neighbours environment many times, in relation to Sky, etc (don't know what about... maybe someone can fill us in). Also, Mark Little - Joe's actor has confirmed on many occasions he does not want to return.
dorithy
Again - assuming you mean Dorothy Burke (left 1993) - last seen riding off into the sunset with Tom (her new love), Toby (ex-Joe Mangel's son) and Bouncer (the now deceased dog) for a new life. Return is unlikely since went off happy, and no-one in the street would know who she is.
Or perhaps Pheobe could bring hope back to the place where her father died to let her see his grave etc...
Pheobe (left 1993) - again, good thought, but no one in Ramsey Street has any reference to the whole Pheobe - Hope - Steve Gottlieb thing.

But who knows...!

you all seem to forget that Harold has links with many of the cast from the 80's and Lou has links with all the cast from 1991 onwards. So, yes people would know who these people are. Dorithy was close to Lou, infact - pretty much any of the old charactors could return for a visit - no excuses!!!!1

And if they had a storyline in which the woods behind ramsay street were going to be removed for an industrial park then the whole cast from the start could return to save it - especially hippies steven and serindippidy gotleb!

I think Terrence Donovan (Doug) is getting on a bit, mid 60's I think now ? Why don't they get on ? Any interviews around ?

I have more interest in Oz actors then UK ones, they seem more likeable to me

Any watching on Uk Gold ? A good mix of characters right now, for some reason I stopped watching around the mid 90's so not seen these before

You mean Dorothy - no 'i'!
But Harold had amnesia, and wouldn't remember them!

Forgot about Lou's closeness though. But isn't Lou leaving?

I don't think Lou is leaving, I wondered if he was when he went off with Trixie for her showbiz dream, but seems the dampeners were put on that today... He also said he wouldn't sell his part of the pub by any means.

Well no offence but if you will bring up a 'mum' joke in the first place, its not particularly fair not to expect one in return.

Maybe you should think before you speak?

And can we stick to topic please! Why do people feel the need to make personal attacks in this thread.
