It's not just women he's insulting but men. I know Danny can be a little cocky but he's young man. Calling him a bull-dog and then saying he's trying to seduce him by asking for a hug to gain points is just so condescending/arrogant.

Also, he went on and on about Kieron's weight. Why does he need to say he wants to shake Kieron after his performance but was afraid to do so becausehe might break him into two? Why? Does it help with improving his skating/dancing??? No. Not at all.

He's nasty. But he has apologise, and obviously the producers thought his controversy adds to the show and will definitely keep him there just to get the booing going on. Sad, but I really thought SCD was going for cheap shots when they had Bruno and Craig doing the 'panto' thing, but Jason was much, much worse and ITV almost let him get away with murder (with his words). Sad, what people are ready to stoop to in order to get their ratings. Makes Jayne and Chris' show look cheap, if anything...

Used to enjoy this show very much as a bit of glamorous fluff to pass a gloomy January but am fast losing interest. Gardiner makes it so downmarket and with the audience it almost seems like a skating version of Jeremy Kyle.

Jayne and Chris should show a bit of backbone. They have too much respect for their good names surely to allow this yob to tarnish their brand. And it is their names heavily used in the promotion, especially on tour, it could well be seen as their brand by the wider public.

Seriously, I've revered those two genuine geniuses since 1982 and I think they might be on the first incline of a very slippery slope down into tacky reality crud...I hope not. But there's a danger. They should be having some serious words with producers.

When Jayne and Chris finally call it a day, there will be no more DOI. I'm sure of that.

I do feel like Jason has got ruder over the years and the audience more rowdy.

I wish it could all be toned down a bit and more like the first series.

We have the same problem with SCD albeit not so bad...for all the boring whinging about Bruce he keeps it well mannered comparatively.

Seems symptomatic of a wider malaise...chavs rule.

We'll have the contestants coming on the ice in their pyjamas next.

I also think there is a bit of a vicious circle there. The audience love to boo Jason, that probably make him go 'oh well, whatever I say, even remotely negative, they are going to jeer, so I will really annoy them'.

I think chiefly the floor manager (or whoever controls the crowd, and the producer) should be replaced. Once done, any audience' rude response should be stopped (i.e. warning issued to the audience before show and if the persist to be rowdy and rude, to be asked to leave the show on the spot) would really help.

And then, the best is to get Jason to buckle down or ship out, and not try to throw bitchy pot-shots at the celebs.

Ah, this programme has so many potential to be really, really enjoyable. And I have always like Jayne and Chris. But they should really put their foot down to safeguard their brand, and not let it tarnished by the tacky producers/floor managers.

Jayne and Chris are too classy for the show. It's almost as if they're too good for it now.

I desperately want DOI to return to being the enjoyable, light-hearted, family show that it once was. Not the Jason Gardiner show (that the media are obsessed with) we have now.

That's the problem. It's not one comment that's the issue - it's the fact that he constantly detracts from what is otherwise an enjoyable show.

I didn't see the show where he made the comments about the men - or the ones about Sharron and Tana either, though I read about those here and in the newspapers.

Incidentally, I read somewhere that he worked with Jayne and Chris before, on a similar show in Australia.
