She does then do some skating (approx 5 seconds) before the 1st lift, but the lift takes longer (about 3 times as long).
Then she does some twirling steps on her toe picks.
When she starts skating after that, her partner is holding her arms. They skate like that for a while as she turns back and forth (sometimes facing towards him, sometimes away).
Next, she skates out of hold for about 15 seconds before he's again holding her hands for the moves that lead into the second lift which is followed by some more skating while holding hands. They let go for a moment so they can change holds to the one that lets him pull her between his legs.
She finishes up on her toe picks again.”

You are right I referred to her solo skating at the beginning in relationship to this 5 to 7 seconds (she even skated backwards for a second or half a second). However, this is dancing on ice with a partner. I would not expect her to do all of her dancing alone or not doing any lifts. I don't know how much solo dancing any of the other ladies are doing, and I'm not pedantic and patient enough to go through each performance
. I was responding to the OP's assertion that she needed to do more solo skating and I personally don't think so at this point in the competition (according to you she skated solo for at least 20 seconds anyway). Maybe Robin should tell us how long they should skate alone!Incidently, I do think that Daniella and Sharron do enough solo skating as well (Emily doesn't). As I mentioned in another thread, I seriously changed my opinion about lifts since I have seen that they require technique, strength and ability on the girl's part. A routine should not just consist of lifts (e.g. Bonnie Langford), but I have now learned to appreciate that the girls have a difficult task as well (I have vertigo, I wouldn't want to do Daniella's neck lift for instance).
