I have just seen Jason apologise live on This Morning (at 11.30am)

he asked if he could say something before he did his fashion bit, looked at the camera & issued his apology, along the lines of :

"My comments on Dancing on Ice have apparently offended Sharron & some viewers, so i would like to apologise and had no intention of offending anyone, i was commenting on her performance"...

it seemed genuine...

i wonder if he offered to do it himself or if he was b*ll*cked and told to do it ?

will he also apologise on DOI on Sunday ?

We'll never know.

At least he has apologised and one can only wish it was genuine. I think it would only be right and proper for him to do so next Sunday too.

The proof in the pudding will be if he reins in his insulting comments from now on - on his own volution or under orders

Well he's obviously deep in the faecal matter himself at the moment & will say whatever he has to in order to keep his job.
Having said that he did appear to be genuine in his apology & rather sheepish even.
Maybe next time he'll make sure that his brain is engaged before he puts that motormouth of his in gear.

It's obvious Jason has just been told to say sorry which means the apology hasn't come from the heart, so it's not sincere.

Well he is a nasty piece of work but-it gets people talking about the show and more exposure for him. Also I think there is a trend towards some people loving the outrage of it all! lol.

But I think it puts people who previously enjoyed the show off watching, especially if they watch with children and have to try to explain away why that nasty man is calling someone poo!

If he hasn't done so already, he should go to Sharron and apologise to her face to face.

When he next critiques (and I use that term loosely) Sharron, thats when he should apologise just after she has skated.

As my old granny used to say "sorry is as sorry does". He can say he's sorry until he's blue in the face but unless it is backed up by actions it has a hollow ring to it. MY old granny also used to say "empty vessels make the most noise" - what a wise woman she was.

Sid, bless his heart, is spot on yet again - an apology has to come from the heart and I very much doubt it came from Jason's. His reasoning would probably be - how do I get out of the sh** I have literally landed myself in and how do I keep my cushy, well-paid job.

I hope his bosses have told him to "zip it" in future otherwise he'll be shown the door. Vile man.

He shouldn't even be asked to comment on Sharon's performance in future - they should go to the other judges instead.

I agree. I have come to dread his remarks. He sucks all the joy out of the room. If that's entertaining to watch/hear, then I'm Jayne Torville.

Good that he apologised - hope it was genuine.

Remember folks - if we demand an apology we should try to accept the apology when we get it - no good saying that he didn't mean it (like I did in another thread - mea culpa). Usually, the ones who look as though they mean it are just better actors

Let's see if he modifies his approach on Sunday

All part of the act, they all have the evil outspoken one on a panel.. but he did go a bit far in his comments, I think he was only trying to liven up his comments from past shows.. and of course he's been ordered to apologise or he was getting booted I'd think..

Can you imagine the hell in the playground that Sharron's daughter will have got after his comments? (Sharron said that the poor kid got teased after he made the tree comments in the first week).
He's vile, his comments are utterly pointless, and I sincerely think that the show would be better without him on it. The other judges manage to be constructive, why can't he?

I hope so. I had to do a double take on his comments about Sharon - like did he really just say what I thought he said. It was a step to far for me - this is a pre watershed family show and apart from young viewers, the contestants kids may also be watching.

Maybe he's had a warning - one more strike and you're out. I hope so, it's neither funny nor entertaining imo.

I think Jason should be sacked - it's not the first time he's gone OTT with personal remarks - he made very insulting remarks to Tana Ramsay - and made insulting remakrs to Sharon before about her arms. He should be commenting on her dancing on ice skills and not their ersonalities or physical appearance.

To me, Jason was the turd that floats around a toilet bowl and should be booted out for good. It's not as if he has any knowledge of ice skaiting or dancing.
