"To be revealed after the break"

I think it's about time they got rid of that part! Everyone knows what he's going to say.

Very true! It's incredibly dull.

With the amount of adverts now in the programme, he could announce virtually all of the skaters with that line - 'Hayley and Daniel's routine......to be revealed after the break!'

I think for shock value one week, he should actually say the name of the last couple saved - no one would be expecting that!

I agree, it's not really needed. As to the huge number of adverts I can't stand them any more, so I do as I think a lot of others do and record and watch later with finger on the fast forward button. I am sure the show depends a lot on advertising revenue and when the advertisers cotton on to this (if they havn't already) they will stop paying out and that will be yet another nail in the commercial channels coffin.

I agree. It was beyond silly. I only watch the shows online after it's broadcast, on stv.tv (itvplayer has too many bloody ads!), and when the results shows were posted online, I always watch only the second part, when there were three couples left.

I was on the phone and got back just in time for the three couples, after the break. It was excellent timing, in retrospect

Jasper Carrott does it on Goldenballs too.

It's totally annoying and what Sky+ was made for.

The thing is, the final three skaters always look a bit surprised that it's being revealed after the break! (To me, anyway!)

And Phillip still has that smug look on his face when he says it as if he's got one over on us.

Errrr after 4 years, we know what's coming Schofield.

They are not surprised. They are frustrated that Philip has to make them stand there waiting for him to say the obvious before the ad break. I mean, how silly is that?!

I know! Can't see why!

Wish he would stop tapping his ear too...

Also at the top of my tv the black and whitelittle box flashes to show when the advert is coming up so it's not exactly a shock!

There was only six minutes between adverts at one point on Sunday its ridiculous.

The amount of ad breaks is just getting ridiculous. There's one after virtually every couple.

No wonder it takes two hours to get through them all.

the ad breaks are ludicrous - 2 couples dance then another advert - Thank goodness for Sky+

Another reason why I can never get into this as much as SCD...the breaks drive me insane. No sooner do you start getting into the show then it stops again.

Yes, I thought the ad breaks on most haunted was bad, but DOI have topped that. The ad breaks are ridiculous.

The breaks drive me mad-but I guess it's because it's a popular show there are so many. It would be all over in half an hour without them lol!

If they could vary the timings a wee bit each time so that you don't know after how may couples they're going to say it, it would still be quite good

It's easier to spot that when fast forwarding - DFS were sneaky and put normal ads in too, I used to stop too soon!

Yes, the expression on his face is what annoys me as well. Like "Oooooh I know something you dont know", but then Phil is just generally smug anyway.

Chris Tarrant has done it on Millionaire for years, but it never comes across half as smug or irritating.

I have been watching Got to Dance and recording DOI then as soon as GTD finishes start watching the recording and I catch up by the end because of all the adverts. Sometimes it was only 1 couple dance in between adverts, I had to keep the remote in my hand they were coming up so rapidly. 2 1/4 hours plus 1/2 hour later is just too long for any program to be on any evening.
