Deleting channels from a Samsung Series 6 TV?
Does anyone know how to this is done? There is a Tools option which say delete but all it seems to do is it delete the channel from the Favourites List and the Shopping Porn channels are still there and, even worse, still listed in the EPG even when they are not in the Favourites List.

The best thing about the current Samsung LCDs is that you can move a channel to whatever channel number preset you like.
The way I got around the problem was to organise the 40 or so most wacthed channels on presets 1-40 in the favourites list, move the shopping, dating and adult channels to presets 200 onwards and always leave the TV in favourite mode. The EPG then shows my favourite channels in order before going on to the others. I've organised mine as follows: 1 BBC 1 2 BBC 2 3 ITV1 4 Channel 4 5 Five 6 BBC News 7 Sky News 8 Sky Sports News 9 BBC Three 10 BBC Four 11 ITV2 12 ITV3 13 ITV4 14 Film 4 15 More 4 16 E4 17 Fiver 18 Five USA and so on through Dave, Virgin1, etc, finishing off with the +1 channels at the end of the favourites list before the rest of channels. Takes a bit of faffing to set it all up but once done its far easier to scroll through that the Freeview channel list proper. |

TBH I rarely use the Samsung TV tuner as I have a couple of Topfield PVRs taking care of business. And not being to delete the ESPN channel did prove useful when they had that free weekend recently and I could watch the Milan derby.
