After seeing the advert for Mondays Corrie, the stuff about 'all Sarah has been through' there was:
Getting preggers at 13
The car accident with Aiden Critchley
Almost being killed by Richard Hillman
Her daughter getting kidnapped
Getting preggers again at 16
Her fiance turning gay
(I think thats, all I may have forgot something though!!)
Also, this family has had to deal with:
The rest of Richards 'antics'
Martin having an affair with Rebecca the nurse, then shacking up with a 17 year old
Nick being trapped in the factory fire
*Possibly* the death of Nick sometime in the near future

I swear there is more as well!!! Please add anything else you can think of!!

I know soaps are unrealistic but please, how can one family- especially a one member have had so much bad luck!!!!!

The only other soap character I can think of that seems to always have bad luck is Toadie from Neighbours. Why do soap writers always make it so one character/family has all the bad luck??!!!

Yeah, Audrey nearly being incinerated comes under the heading of "rest of richard's antics" so I don't think I've anyhing else to add at the moment..

Having Ivy as a Granny!
Step-Grandad Don having his foot cut off.. and becoming a stalker (Denise)... and a attempted murderer (Alma)..
Gail's face!

David as a brother .... (he was the most annoying kid in the world when he first joined)

Gail as a mother! - She forces her children away with her controlling behaviour, and then, when Sarah's with her, she spends all her time holding her head and stroking her hair. Poor Bethany's got no hope!

lmao@Gail's face. Wat about the nanny they hired years ago and she ended up being a bit mad and telling Gail her and Martin were going to be together. Carmel I think it was, of course she was Irish, all the psychotic ones usually are in these soaps lol

Bethany has been kidnapped twice, she was kidnapped the day after she was born by Kevin's gf who lost her baby. And was only just rescued before her kidnapper ran under a bus. And then Nanny Brenda tried chucking her off the roof of a church. And then Bethany got electrocuted but that was after she was nearly killed again when Richard drove them all into the canal! lol Poor Beth

Resiliant little kid, in fact most of the younger members of the family are but I think that could be due to both their mother and Martin being turtles - I think they must have inherited a strong protective shell from them

Can I add the colour Martin's currently dyed his hair to the list - that really is bad luck.

Bethany also had a fall in the Platt household just before Sarah moved in with Todd.

How about Gail's perfect son Nick choosing to fall for a Battersby.. That didn't work out for the best at all, to put it lightly!

Apparently Sarah suffers pains next week - I think some magazines were hinting at something happening to the baby/Sarah losing the baby

From what I've read in other threads I think that Sarah just has a scare. Whether she loses the baby later on or not I don't know, but I hope not.

Sarah was also lured to a pervert's house & kept there against her will, when he pretended to be the father of a teenager who had contacted Sarah on an internet chat room.

She was rescued by Todd & Candice.

Oh yeah! I forgot about him. He posed as a 19 year old or something, didn't he?

Yup and when he answered the door he said he was "Gary"'s dad and invited her in and shut the door. After toying with "Louise" (Sarah) for about 20 minutes he revealed that he was Gary but he would not let Sarah go. Even when Gail and Richard came round to find out what was going on he locked Sarah in a cupboard and silenced her while telling G & R that she was at the cinema with "Gary".

I remember, Todd and Gail were in quite a flap.. Richard was deadly cool, probably thinking about how he would have handled the situation if he was to add kidnapping to his criminal CV..

Beth's father dying?

Yeah, that's unlucky for her I guess. She'll never know her dad now and it's likely she'll want to know him because Todd won't be there as a substitute so she'll have no adopted dad either..

There was Carmen, the mad nanny who claimed she was pregnant by Martin and tried to kidnap David. Gail's first husband, Brian, being stabbed outside a nightclub. Gail nearly aborting young David, but Martin getting to her in time.

I've got one: Audrey's husband dying in his sleep on a chair in the Platt's house.

The guy who kidnapped her "gary" - wasn't he in Brookie years ago as a hairdresser or something?
