I wondered about this as the last I remembered Gail was worried sick about paying Richard's debts etc.

Oh yes, the other one, which was only a minor crisis in comparison, was when Brian had that fight with Ian over Sarah-Lou's paternity when Gail was pregnant. This made her go into premature labour.
