I have just tried to put a new cover/fascia on a nokia 6310i.. the problem is that when i switched the phone on again, I got the message "CONTACT SERVICE" in the middle of the screen. Then after switching off and on again I am told that the phone is restricted, and given the option to enter a "restriction code".

I am sure that I must have done something wrong. When you put a new fascia on the ear piece and aerial have to be connected to the new fascia, I am now wondering if I have done something wrong, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

souns to me like the sim card contact on the under side of the fone has become loose or disloged a little bit as this is the error message you get when i cannot comunicate with the present sim card.
