It's a really strong addiction

I bought about 4 bags when I was on holiday last summer (I've only worn/held one of them...)

And I've just bought another two, a leather side bag and a large frame bag. I can't get enough

It's quite strange, I'm not that in love with heels and shoes, as I am bags. Anyone else addicted to bags?

So am I, specifically Radley bags - I blame it on the OH giving me one for Christmas 3 years ago, but I've now got about ten of them!

OP - are you me? If not, then your my new best friend!

I too love handbags and have a good many, some of which I only bought because they're pretty! I'm not that fussed on shoes, which is partly to do with the fact I have awkward feet, so getting nice ones is a chore. Plus, I dont like my legs, so dont wanna show them off except in leggins, so they dont bother me. I've got a medium green handbag I bought from New Look before Christmas I've not yet used, and a gorgeous red bag I was given as a Christmas present, again, yet unused, and no dount, when I go shopping in Cardiff next week, I'll come home with a new one. Most aren't that expensive and all from the high street, but they look it as they're classy and pretty due to me having what I'd call good taste. When I was in Next before Christmas, I go excited inside and went "Oooh" in my head when I saw all the pretty handbags.

You're my twin I too sometimes just buy bags because they look pretty (which is probably why I've only worn one of the 4 I bought last summer)

Those two that I mentioned before, the one's I have bought recently, are from River Island

Ooooh handbags, I love them.

I have loads, including clutch bags in various colours bought to go with many different outfits, I have about half a dozen larger bags that I use for work and swap them over now and then. I have a messenger bag that I use when I go to large shopping centres and I'm very fortunate to have 3 Mulberry bags, two were gifts from my husband and the other was his gift for 30 years of service at his work-place

A few of the bags I've bought were because they're pretty and cute - not at ALL practical as some are quite small! I currently have a lovely faux crocodile skin burned orange little bag from M&S that I use everyday. Need to get a more sensible, smart black one as I dont have one for interviews, appointments, etc. I'm going to start using my new green faux crocodile skin one from New Look on the weekend as my new everyday bag as it's a decent size and can hold my new as yet not used red faux crocodile skin (can you tell I like that material? ) as it's a proper wallet/purse, plus the new bag will hold other bits and pieces sexurely that I nded but cant carry in my current bag. My love of handbags is a running joke in my place of work and one workmate thinks it's hilarious that I appear with a new one every so often!

I would like a Kiplin bag - either a nice black and white pattered one, or another colour in the near future - 50% for the bag and 50% for the monkey - and not the metal type, the chunky monkey!

I am addicted to Radley too! My partner bought me one for Christmas 2008 and I now have a fair few... is it wrong that I love them so?? I bought a passport cover, makeup bag and clutch from their sale last month

I've got a Chanel 2.55, it's gorgeous I LOVE bags too, but I don't have very many as they're so expensive. I see gorgeous River Island/Topshop/Next ones all the time, but I save up for designer ones instead, and resist the temptation!

I have bought a couple from NAP and MyWardrobe sales, sometimes they go down to 70% off!! Try not to look for the first few days if you can, then they go down further (altho some will be sold out after an hour or so, obviously).

Ahhhh bags, I find them far more covetable than shoes

So am I !!!

I must have at least 20 bags, it drives my OH mad and I only use two during the day and one or two when out at night!

Bags, shoes and accessories are very addictive!

Good advice. Haven't tried them online (yet!) but TK Maxx do at least have an ever-changing selection of handbags in their stores.

My only gripe with them - well, two gripes actually - is how they jam all those poor homeless bags in on those daft backwards display hook thingummies so you have to rummage around AND THEN they rubberband the straps together so you spend an age wrestling with that when you simply want to take a quick peek inside.

Handbags? Love them. Nothing beats that feeling of loading a new bag up with all your rubbish - oops, I meant essentials - for its very first outing.
