Fantasia - Even Angels (1st Single)
This just has to be a hit on the Billboard. It's probally her best music to date.
Very different for her. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lydtmLuh3U What do you think? |

LOVE Fantasia! At least the Americans know how to produce decent talent on their reality shows. Take note Leona/Burke, that's what you call a "voice"!!! It's annointed and expressive, not empty hollowing!

I think Leona and Alex are better personally. I find her quite shouty in her live performances sometimes and don't really like the tone of her voice. I like her personality though.

Yeah I like that performance. Still, don't think she could do something like 'Run' like how Leona done it. However I still think Alex and Leona are better.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onW8MuxISqI And she's at the O2 in May !!! http://starmixmanagement.com/?p=1192 |

"I'll sing it one last time for you, then we really have to go, you've been the only thing that's right in all I've done" There is no colour or texture there at all. |

Just an opinion so don't take it the wrong way but I really can't stand the way Leona sings Run. It is just so bland and boring and the only time it really picks up is right at the end.

Still she just doesn't do anything for me. I won't deny that she can sing but Leona's far better in my opinion.
I like how it starts low and has that haunting feel and how it leads to the build up. On a more personal note, Leona does have the more pleasant tone but in terms of vocal stamina, robustness and technique where personal preference doesn't factor in, Leona doesn't even come close. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onW8MuxISqI ![]() As for the new song, I like it, I dont think its Fantasia, in that I find Fantastic, a throw back to the greats, Ella, Etta, Tina etc, and this is a bit too commerical but hey i am sure it will sell, and you still hear the gorgeous tone she as. As for the Fantasia comparison, with Leona and Alex..... Fantasia knocks both of those ladies out of the park.... Fantasia has soul, charisma, passion and oodles of talent. Alex (i will give alex she is a good performer) and utteraly and completely, Leona are soul-less! and are only good at churning out the SYCO manufactured bla pop.

If that's how it sounds to you then great but to me it sounds like she's "struggling to hit notes" most of the time as opposed to just singing.

Struggling to hit notes? Really? Also Fantasia's screaming can be of putting. Sounds painful.
