Oggy and the Cockroaches
Some may consider it from the Sublime to the Ridiculous after recent topics BUT
I have just 'FOUND' over 100 items to record this week of these jolly fellows.. One cannot do things like that with a Sky Box! My youngest grand-daughter [Aged 3years] insists on seeing at least TWO every time she visits us and I now have the first dozen or so in a SERIES Folder.. They are all 10mins long BUT ALL have the same Name and date for that matter..This defies all IT Identification Logic rules surely?? I know that some ..possibly half... are repeats but which ones? I started to watch and then rename each episode..looking for a pattern.. and guessing where the next repeat would be..Silly me ![]() Due to timing variations even the Icons will all be different when they are put in overnight.. so that will not help.. It is so frustrating to find that... as the items are renamed they do a 'Paul Daniels' and leave their homely Folder .. and take their place as real files in the main Media menu.. As i write i know that that is possibly VEN logic.. but not streetwise practicality surely? As when i START and watch another episode .. i cannot see at a glance .. without leaving the media entirely .. what i have called the others.. I then sought to see if 'Reciprocality' was a concept of the Humax.. It aint.. I renamed an 'Oggy' recording as 'Loose Women'.. Did it go into the 'Loose Women' Folder? No way.. it went into the media odds and sods.. All very frustrating.. Possibly Grannygrunt can assist in keeping the child otherwise occupied on her visits? ![]() Grand-dadGrunt. |

Pressing list in a folder can sort its contents in date and time order so the earliest recording on the same day is at the bottom of the list. If you have duplicate episodes it's not a Humax problem it's simply that the broadcaster has shown a repeat episode with the same series crid and a different prog crid so any freesat+ device would assume it's a new episode.

Hey, we all love Oggy, there is a bit of Oggy in us all!
My kids like POP and POP Girl, shame they don't put it on Freeview.
