Will Jason be more rude with his comments this week after last week and what he said to Sharron and Frankie

Or will he told to tone down what he says by the producers or will they say nothing to him

Its pretty obvious that he takes a dislike to certain Celebs and is out to insult them not about their performance but personally, he may well leave Sharron alone and pick on someone else, he is a Vile nasty Man and I can't see him changing his ways all that much!

Given that everyone thinks this is some sort of plan to drum up controversy I wouldn't be surprised if he started telling Torvill & Dean that they look like 'floaters' on the ice this week

What does it matter what opinions people voice?

If you don't like them don't reply. In fact, don't you have better things to think about than posting offensive replies on a forum that's 'just about TV'?

I wonder what Jason really thinks of Jayne and Chris, I bet he could be nasty about then given half a chance!

Well that would make for interesting viewing as he would probably be lynched live on tv! Or forced to particpate in T & D's routine!

Thats what I find really odd, Jayne is such a lovely Lady and she surely must be horrified and embarassed when he comes out with disgusting statements like he does most weeks....do Jayne and Chris have no influence on the way the programme is made!

I have complained to ITV and received a reply which said:

Thank you for your recent email regarding Dancing on Ice.

Each week, Jason gives feedback to the celebrity contestants. He is very forthright in his views, and like all our judges he offers a unique perspective when critiquing each performance, and where appropriate contestants are given an opportunity to respond directly to the judges’ comments.

However, Jason accepts that some of his comments about Sharron’s performance on Sunday may have caused offence to her and to viewers, for which he has apologised. Likewise ITV is sorry if you were offended by these comments.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us here at ITV as we always value viewers feedback.

Reading between the lines I think he has had his wrists slapped and been put on the naughty step. I replied to this saying if I had behaved like that at work I would have been sacked and as he insulted live Sharron on prime time TV he should apologise to her live on prime TV. I also pointed out that the man was out of his depth and covered this by making bitchy and unconstructive remarks.

Time will tell if he curbs his acerbic tongue but he really has embarrassed himself and ITV and if enough people complain to them MAY BE they will actually see his has made his position on the panel untenable. Nasty, vile man that he is.

But he has got away with insulting people for all the time he has been on DOI, perhaps if he had been told before now it wouldn't have got to this level and poor Sharron and her family wouldn't have had to have been humiliated on live TV.

Like you said "Normal" people would have been fired from their job and probably been hauled up before a tribunal accused of bullying in the workplace....it stinks!

He's never likened them to a piece of sh!t though

Jason's job IS to insult people on live TV. He's playing the role which he has been given, that of pantomime villain. If he did anything less then he would be sacked. Having said that, many of his comments are very unpleasantly personal and the comment about Sharron on Sunday did, in my view, overstep the bounds of what is acceptable on a family show.
I blame the producers who have given him the role in the main, Jason made an error of judgement which he and his bosses need to learn from, but there is no way in the world that he will be sacked for what he said....it's got the show extra publicity after all!

Didn't he give Sharon nice comments in week 3?

Whatever Jason says or doesn't say on Sunday, no doubt the producers will be delighted with the inevitable higher viewing figures with more people tuning in to see the aftermath of the commotion.

Surely a tribunal would say if you took a job that involved being humiliated on national tv don't complain when you get humiliated on national tv. It's not like Jason started behaving like that last week.

I do agree with you and I have chuckled at some of Jason's comments over the years (not all), but I think there's a general feeling that he was toying with the line with his 'frigid schoolmistress' comment to Tana and crossed the line when comparing Sharon to 'faecal matter'.

Perhaps people feel that even by his standards, his comments towards the skating celebs are becoming unacceptable. Falling over like a clown on the ice is quite humiliating, but must expected by novice skaters when they are trying to master a skill in such a short space of time. They undoubtedly expect to receive criticism about their performances too. However, receiving deeply personal insults somewhat unrelated to their performance is something else.

Not jumping on the sack Jason bandwagon, or a fully paid-up member of the Ofcom brigade but his behaviour does seem to be escalating this series. It will be interesting to see which way he goes with it.

If I was that offended, I would switch off, but I'll be watching on Sunday. The advantage of Sky plus is that I can forward wind Jason's contributions and keep replaying the beauty that is Fred Palascak!

Jason's there to make sometimes insulting remarks about contestants much like Clive Revel Horwood on SCD. Mostly I find some of his remarks uneccesary as they are personally insulting rather than constructive but they don't bother me unduly. The contestants have a fair idea of what to expect from him.

I think on Saturday he crossed the line - comparing Sharon to a 'floater' that wouldn't go away was in poor taste. I thought Jane, Chris, Holly and Phil looked quite taken aback. I had to do a double take on it myself in a 'did he really say that' way.

I think he's had a wrist slap but still expect him to continue as before although I'm sure he'll think more carefully about any future analogies he makes.

I doubt he'll be offensive about Sharron this weekend, because of the fuss.

But the real test of whether he's learned his lesson will be whether he launches into yet another personal attack on someone like Kieron, where his abuse hasn't had all the attention in the press.

If he just lays off Sharron, and nothing else, then you know its just a cynical move to look better.

I had exactly the same reply, sam. It's obviously a standard response.

Makes me wonder if they even read our comments!

Probably not. I expect all they needed to see were the words 'Jason Gardiner' and knew which letter to throw at you.

Might be better if Holly bypasses Jason for comments after Sharron skates this week, but that wouldn't really make for good tv of course!

Jason Gardiner is as Jason Gardiner does. My opinion is don't go on the show if you can't handle him!

He will be as rude as he wants I expect. He won't be able to help it!

Of course he will, its his act and what he's paid for on the panel.. but I think he got a bit too enthusiastic and embellished earlier insults , but saw that the recipients werent having it at all..
