I know he is as wet as a dishcloth - but i cant stand Maria, so i think they should just drive off into the sunset together ... and never return ?

I lost interest in Nick as a character after he married Leanne. He was awful after that and still is. I was laughing throughout the episode where Nick told Sarah about Todd kissing him. His acting is so wooden!

Looks like there could be trouble between nick/leanne/maria this os from adams own site-
Of course I won't give too much away (sorry!) except to say that it resolves around the return of Leanne, who still carries bitterness towards Nick, and resolves to cause as much upset between him and Maria as possible.

adam is leaving the show at the end of May (but will be on screen till mid July). so i assume she will be joining soonish (i am not sure how long she will be on the street before adam leaves)

Are you sure the being knocked down story is correct?? I keep hearing that he will meet his maker outside a night club like his daddy did in 1989 and that Leanne will be (unwittingly) involved!
