Movies4Men Channels

I don't know exactly what guidelines they have - but I noticed last night they had Indecent Behavior on - one of the movies Channel 5 used to show back in the day The review said "This film contains violence and scenes of a sexual nature".

You would think so after 9:00, but the film was heavily cut! All the sex was cut out or they would just go to a break, it looked like a TV version like the laughathon network version of Basic Instinct
At this time, films should be shown uncut or not at all.

I recorded a spaghetti Western on that channel that I havent seen also.

Dreadful channel the adverts last for 10 minutes and some films have a break in between to show even more adverts.

Having a Freesat PVR - I wouldn't think the adverts would be a problem!! 10 mins reduced to 10 seconds, tops, if you have to faff about..

There is a lot of trash on the channel, I agree, but I have seen the occasional good classic film on the channel.. depends on taste of course.

Far worse in my opinion is True Movies.. yuck yuck.

Most of the stuff is dire, it's a travesty that it gets so many viewers when Simply Movies which had much better quality stuff but struggled to reach 30,000/day when all the M4Men channels get over 600,000. Having said that, some of the black white WWII stuff is just about watchable, but that's about it.

Yes they are pretty awful, conduits of corny low budget US TV. Ironically, True Entertainment (not on Freesat EPG) is slightly better having some british content, At Home With the Brathwaites, and some documentaries, i.e. this weekend, there is one on Obama and the Princes William & Charles.

I do love the Leone Westerns so may check out some of the ones Movies4Men have but you would think they'd be shown in 16/9 ! I've seen a couple and theyre non anamorphic - yuk!
