It's not like Jason started those kind of comments last week. Sharron needed something to get public support, she got it. I think her outrage is for show.

I am glad that Sharron has let him have it. He is lucky that she hasn't sued him or that she or her husband haven't landed a punch on him. I am sure that they are far too temperate to do that. Still, I hope that she continues to land verbal punches to remind him that he cannot hurt people with impunity and that actions have consequences. Actually, ITV shouldn't get away with it either. I don't see or hear of any apology from them for subjecting her to humiliation and insult on one of their shows.

Her comments in comparision with his are quite measured (I don't think that he would be a good role model or foster father based on his treatment on other people and his disregard for other people's children).

Look, I was among the first who started threads in the first week commenting that I disliked intensely Sharon and Emily, both I found very, very annoying. Besides, they were not very good skaters.

Though I found Sharon very stiff, I can't imagine how Jason's 'possessed by a tree' would help her. That drama-queen could have been just as critical and told her she was very stiff and that she should losen up and soften her lines etc.

The poo business was just as ridiculous, if not more. So her costumes looked horrible. Big deal? Would costumes actually affect the quality of the skating directly? He's supposed to be a judge who critique the choreography and the 'dancing' by the celebs, nothig else. Weight issues (three weeks on and on about Kieron's slight built) and this constant vitriol thrown at Sharon without an ounce of constructive guidance made him a terrible, not to mention bitchy/bitter, so-called judge.

To say Sharron "lashes out" is rather silly. It is a very weak response really to Jason. Why can't Sharron just tell the produers of the show that if Jason makes another personal insult to her on national TV she will walk off the show. Believe me, I do not accept that Jason can be so insulting to a celeb without the knowledge and approval of the producers. It is all about ratings, viewers figures and constant publicity which is what Jason has achieved by his insulting comments this week!! I AM SURE THE PRODUCERS ARE DELIGHTED.

A lot of people watch the show for Jason's comments and his ability to put the celebs down. I must say I was stunned by his comment to Kelly Holmes but not one celeb has ever taken offense on camera or threatened to walk off the show. Don't you find this odd if the insults are really unscripted and the celeb/producers have no idea what Jason is going to say!!!

Maybe many do, but the greater majority for this particular show do not, as has been demonstrated by the response. If they do tune in to DOI just for this then I'm tempted to say shame on them.

I really struggle with the idea that people watch this show to see Jason.

Jason wasn't on the tour last year - I went to see 3 shows on the tour & I hardly noticed he wasn't there. I doubt you would get anyone saying that the tour wasn't the same without Jason.

That's your prerogative, and I don't have an issue with that. However, it does not excuse Jason's bad behaviour towards her (even if he has the same problem with her as you, eg. he doesn't know what she feels).

Generally we all work with a lot of people, and we don't always know what they are feeling or we may not be able to emphasise with them. Most people would not dream of using the kind of language, Jason has been using. To me calling someone a piece of shit, is pretty derogative (smells, is wastage, etc.).

In contrast, Sharron's comment about his inability as a foster dad were based on his reaction to the discomfort of her kids ("so what or get over it"). As a foster dad you need empathy and patience even with difficult kids that might not float your boat. So far Jason has not shown that he would be capable of doing that based on his behaviour towards adults.

I'll go and watch Keiron's performances back because I can't remember the exact comments so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I thought Jason's comments were directed at the way Keiron skates with Brianne, which his build and youthfulness hinder, he looks like he's following Brianne and he's scared to lift her. He made comments like that to Stephen Gately, who just laughed.

I think Jason's comment was wrong, although I actually got the point he was trying to make, badly I grant you. He did go too far, but I felt no emotional reaction towards Sharron for it. Had it been Daniella or Mikey I would've been throwing things at the TV.

What's Sharron teching her kids? If someone's nasty to you say something worse back. I'm sure she isn't. you can't judge someone's ability to be a parent by how they behave on DOI.
