I think she might actually be teaching them to stand up for themselves when they're bullied.

I've always had a problem with the whole 'dignified silence' thing, probably because I personally wouldn't have a hope in hell of keeping quiet if someone had a go at me and I thought it was unfair. Or even if some of it was fair. I like to try to explain my actions and then let people judge me - and if they've listened and they still want to dismiss it, fine.

I think Sharron's comments were entirely justified, and that replying to the remarks Jason made is not an exercise in attention-seeking on her part, but simply a way of redressing the balance of coverage a bit.

He made comments like that to Stephen Gately, who just laughed.”

Re: Kieron last Saturday. After his respectable attempt, Jason said he sometimes wants to shake him (Kieron) but was afraid to do so because he fears he might break him into half.

Why did he say that and how is that constructive???

Kieron was forced to reply that his slight frame had nothing to do with the skating, and I had to agree with him. Despite him being slight, at least he was doing some lifts. Dr Hilary, bless him, on the other hand was much better proportioned than Keion ever would but he was so wobbly they have to choreograph the routine without any lifts last Saturday.

So my point again: what good did Kieron gain in terms of criticisms to improve his skating about the 'break you in halves' comment from Jason?

Also, when Chris Fountain did really well, Jason couldn't stop with just compliments but say 'you showed that it's possible to polish a turd'. Compliments? Seriously? Once again, he had the penchant of calling people shit/poo/turd I am beginning to wonder if he actually had some kind of a sick fetish over it!

I did actually try and formulate something on that about Keiron's performance but no, I got nothing!

It may be a bit crude but I see nothing wrong with it. Chris had polished his performances.

Badly, she comes out of this as bad as Jason. Bet there would be more complaint to Ofcom if Jason said she would be a terrible mother.

She's proved she isn't.

And it's quite possible to express that without the crudity.

Jason seems to have an unhealthy obsession with faeces.

I'm not suggesting she is, just that she shouldn't have commented on Jason's fitness to be a parent.

He could have said this to Chris: So, you turned out to be a diamond in a rough. You've polished up well!

If the audience still boos, then shoot them!

Only to those people who were already determined to stand up for Jason and to dislike Sharron, I've noticed so far.

Kids learn by example - if a foster child of Jason's saw him resort to bullying (and yes it is bullying in my book) - the youngster might very well - even probably - do likewise.

He knows damn well what he's saying and doing - and the rolling eyes and pleas of innocence and bewilderment at the reaction his comments provoke simply serve to show him up for what he is.

A self serving, odious little example of body waste.

I do believe he's already suggested that someone looked as though they'd crapped their pants this series - can't remember who.

As I said an unhealthy obsession with excrement.

I'll be interested to see how Phil handles it on Sunday (that's if Jason turns up, though I see he's back on Twitter with a sheepish this morning tweet)

Phil rules the roost on This Morning and I'm guessing on DOI as well. Why do you think Jason paints on a rigor mortis grin when Philip bounces an inflatable object over him?

Can't wait for Sunday!

It's hard to imagine mumsy Phil ruling anything but I bet he's a right handful.

He IS mumsy...on screen

Has he given up his twitter habit yet? I hear he was on 200 a day, that can't be healthy

You're making me face up to the harsh reality of people not actually being the same as they are on telly

I don't follow his twitter, celebs are mostly dull and have to watch what they say. There's no fun in it (for me).

But it's fun to wind them up Don't they know never to reply to ANY criticism esp on Twitter with lazy journos copying and printing their every word?

I've not tried to wind any celebs up, I remember what happened to that poor guy who upset Stephen Fry. And there are an awful lot of hysterical fans on twitter

I leave hysterical fans well alone, especially a certain one with her 'tribute wall' to T & D! Like something out of Law and Order

The thing so many people fail to realise about communication channels like Twitter is that the point of them originally was to provide a dialogue between people.

Blogs, Twitter etc. are like an extension of a letters page - you can write in and complain, except now it's much easier for the person who offended you in the first place to write back.

It gets on my tits when celebrities and journalists write blogs or tweet, and then don't bother to read and reply to the comments that follow. Why use an interactive service if you don't want to interact?

So for all those who think that celebs should keep quiet when people start to criticise, I say no way, be proud of the fact they keep replying. It shows they give a damn about the fact you bothered to tell them what you think - even if they don't agree with you.

I think it was Todd Carty? I thought that was pretty horrible too, humiliating to my mind, although some bright spark will no doubt consider it fair comment.

Oh, someone's wearing a brown costume, sh*t's a brown colour isn't it, it's okay to say they look like sh* t. No sh*t, Jason!

There are lots of comments we could make about Jason but it's not always right to say them.

But heyho it's what the producers want so that's all right then.

The trouble with twitter is that they are not always the person they say they are. Sometimes people will go on saying they are "Such n Such" just to - what? - be stupid really I guess! I think - but not sure - that Paul O'Grady told people not to tweet him because it wasn't him!

I imagine that anyone with children who heard someone suggesting they "get a grip" when complaining that someone else's behaviour had hurt their children would infer the same as Sharron did from that comment about said person's understanding of good parenting!
