Haha... I saw a man wearing Ugg boots the other day, they looked hideous but it gave me a giggle!

Velour tracksuits are indeed shit, but you will have to pry my Ugg style boots [not real Uggs, I'm too poor and can't afford the real ones] out of my cold, dead hands, quite frankly.

Oddly, when I expected to see them most, (due to the warmth they give apparently) I saw them the least is it because they are, infact, not at all functional and are not equipped to deal with moisture? |

I wonder what it is about velour that's so naff? I agree that it is, but I'm not sure why. I suppose it makes people look like badly stuffed cushions, it doesn't hide much!

What is wrong with velour bottoms?
I wear them indoors, they're useful for lounging about the house in or when doing housework. Thats one of the first things I do when I get in, I change out of everyday clothing into velour bottoms. |

If only they would wear them to undertake some form of exercise, then they might discover that an array of other types of clothing would be available to them.

they are tantamount to pyjamas, as uggs are to slippers

What are women supposed to wear indoors instead. What meets with your approval, please don't say a nice little dress.
how about nothing/lingerie/jeans/naughty little dress/trousers/skirts |

For me it's more a case of the stark reality that most of the people you see in tracksuits of any description are usually so hideously overweight that these are the only garments they can haul over their gargantuan buttocks.

Just checked my backside, it doesn't come anywhere near the word gargantuan. I'm about half a stone overweight but I wouldn't say I'm hideous or look it.

I wore my (real) uggs all through the snowy weather and they kept my feet so warm and didn't let any water through at all. Of course they are now wrecked from the salt but they are so warm and toasty I reall don't care and won't be giving them up till it becomes sandal weather again

They suit a purpose. ![]() The term "hideous" is in reference to the degree of overweightedness - not the individual themselves. I'm sure you're just lovely!

The first two wouldn't be a good idea with a toddler in the house. The others are what I dress in when I'm out of the house. When I'm at home I want to be comfortable, velours fit the bill. I've got nice chocolate coloured pair on now, very comfy. I've got a vest top on with them, don't say they're a no, no too.

When you see the 'wide load' trogs wandering about in velour tracksuits , holy mother of god , do these oafs wear it with the intention of saying 'Im a useless fat arsed trog & im proud'?
Ugg boots , another item of footwear that i wouldnt insult the charity shops with. Some halfwit footballers wife / zelebrity film star dons a pair & lo & behold 3million clones have to have them as well. What a f***ed up country.

I saw an old lady (over 65) last week on the tube, wearing juicy couture velour tracksuit bottoms, a fur jacket, and some expensive looking high heels.
She looked ridiculous |
