The Brown Costume Was Awful....

When Sharon came onto the ice on Saturday I commented to my OH that the way the costume pushed up her chest made her look awful. I think that the costume designers on DOI are not doing her any favours. The pictures in the press show that.

I think the idea of the "swimsuit" costume is to hide her long arms a bit, exposing all of her legs makes her look more in proportion, but the choice of colour could have better!

Its a nice theory but they would do better to dress her in something a little more feminine - she's so muscular that it detracts from any grace she acheives on the ice where a pretty floaty number would help a lot.

Surely they would be better partially covering her arms rather than the swinsuit look.

So what if it was, I didn't want to hear about shit whilst eating my dinner, and its a family light entertainment show too.

Sharron's costume was awful but the Wardrobe Department were responsible for that. What was Jason Gardiner thinking lamming into Sharron like that. He deserves all the flak he is getting in the forums and media. Hopefully he might learn from this but he is so up his own ar*e pigs might fly. He has no right to comment on anyone's costume - just check out the latest picture. I certainly wouldn't take any notice of any style tips from him - his dress sense is appalling.

The swimsuit costumes are awful and so are the long socks and boots worn with them

Come to that the knickers that Heather was wearing were equally awful

What are the costume department thinking dressing the women like this.

That's quite true. I was wondering what the Bridget Jones pants were all about. They didn't really do her any favours - particularly in that colour.

I quite liked the colour just not the style.

Agreed. The brown costume was awful but that wasn't her doing. The celebs and pros get no input into their costumes. And regardless of whether or not Sharron chose that costume herself, it's never acceptable to compare someone to excrement that won't flush away. I usually support Jason but in this instance he went too far and I hope he dials back his style of criticism just a bit for the rest of the series.

I thought the colour was pretty authentic considering it was about the 70s. I didn't mind the swimsuit cut, but would like to see her in something different and more feminine this week in an attempt to offset it.

Heather's knickers were far worse imo.

Apart from anything else, when did anyone wear a swimming costume as 'clothes' in the 70s.

I know the wardrobe department have a certain 'artistic license'...but that cozzie was just taking the pi$$. They could have easily put her in hotpants.

And who the hell does her hair-not once has she been coiffured!!

Sharron is a gorgeous woman with a great body and they're not doing her justice, imo

Ok - rant over

The costumes weren't that bad although she might want to get away from the swimsuit style - she could pick something more feminine.

But Jason's comment about her looking like a terd that won't flush is so nasty - he clearly hates Sharron. He has his favourites as usual and Sharron is bottom of his list - despite me thinking she could be so much better but gets put down by him every week.

I think Sharon is being thrown to the lions for good tv.The costume was horrendous and im sure SHE didnt pick it.I could not believe the bile that came out of jasons mouth, and the inability of Holly or Phil or any1 on the panel to respond to what he said. All afraid of losing their jobs!!The bad joke that is jason has to go.

The wardrobe department have taken too much flack, it's impressive what they do in a week, maybe they don't always get it totally right, but it's Jason's comments that were out of order.
Overall the costumes were great this week, and I also didn't feel hers was that bad.

I just wish they'd develop a bit of taste. Unfortunately I remember the 70s and had quite enough of the fashion (non)sense displayed at the time.

Sharron's costume, as well as being unsuitable, didn't fit properly either, the inner bust supports were showing - which can't have been intentional I'm sure.

Agreed with everyone about the swimsuits- ENOUGH already! They don't flatter her and the wardrobe department should get a roasting! Get Gok Wan in

Wouldn't they be wearing even less then? Like....nothing?

Costumes could be made that do cover her arms, most skating outfits do have sleeves of some sort. Has for the leotard/swimming costume look it would be softer with a skirt and to balance the arms the length can be variable and help with the line of her leg.

She could easily have a floaty skirt over the "swimsuit" and it would look much much better.

Who's idea is it to keep putting Sharron in a swim suit, I would have thought she would have had enough of them when she was competing!

I don't like the swim suits that Sharron seem to favour, but then again I thought she looked better than Emily tonight, Emily looked like a toilet roll holder.
