It's out on Monday, but I've heard it early (I know... like opening a Christmas present before Christmas, but I am impatient!)

It's pretty good so far. I've only listened a couple of times but it kind of flows like Mezzanine (their best in my opinion).

Anyone hear it or looking forward to it?

I haven't heard it, but have just pre-ordered it from Amazon.

Thanks Carmen

Some tracks are proper Massive Attack quality, but a few on there are near misses for me. Then again, I said the same thing with Mezzanine and it's one of my favourite albums.

I've heard Hope Sandoval is lending her vocal to one of the tracks. Love her voice.

I haven't listened yet but I'm a little scared that they won't be able to match their early stuff, looking forward to trying it though.

She is on a track called "Paradise Circus". It's probably one of the best tracks on the album. Classic Massive Attack, where the song builds up to a more dramatic ending.

It's grown on me, but it'll never beat Mezzanine or Blue Lines.

Same here, NME radio are playing it lots although I haven't heard any of the album yet. I'll buy it though.

I've listened to it 3 times so far, and I think it's good. Maybe not as amazing as some seemed to expect (perhaps over-optimistically), but it's very good. A definite return to form. And Paradise Circus is wonderful as others have said.

Really enjoy it. Some great songs on the album. Some, I could do without but the majority; I like.

I think it's a natural progression to 100th Window, I'm not sure it flows like Mezzanine but for me I need to listen to it for a while to get into it. I didnt like 100th Window and now I think its a fantastic album.
What I would say is if you get a chance check them out live as the new tracks seem to take on a life of there own. I'm not sure you can compare it to earlier albums either as Tricky and Mushroom has left.
Also I read last week that 3D and Tricky have patched things up and will be putting some new tracks down in the future....hope it dont take another 7 years?

I was wondering what happened to Mushroom as I haven't heard anything from him in ages.

Paradise Circus takes on a whole new meaning when you've seen the music video. It's a work of art.

I know he left after Mezzanine saying that MA were taking too much of a guitar/rock approach. However I dont think he's done anything musically.

It's rare you come across somebody who completely disappears. It would be nice to hear from him, if even momentarily.

Would be good to have Tricky back for the next (?) album.

Favourite songs are Paradise Circus, Splitting The Atom & Saturday Come Slow. Least favourite song is Flat of the Blade.
