Does anyone else have problems manouvering in very tight pencil skirts & heels
Not just walking, but stairs, getting on the bus/out of a car, the list goes on, even a high kerb can cause an issue lol.

I did switch from "fitted" skirts to "clingy" & "stretchy" skirts & even though it's deffinately easier, they keep splitting or popping at the seams

I can't win

Hmm it can be tricky, but I've never had a burst or split seam Any chance you might need a bigger size with a touch more room for manoevre?

All mine have stretch in them & most have a slit or pleats at the back.

You can get away without a slit if they're shorter.

As with Hannah - never had a problem with splitting or popping seams though - perhaps you need the size up?

Well they are my size & they are supposed to be pretty tight anyway. Just wondered if anyone else had the same issues as me x.

Don't worry, those 'sexy' jumpers should cover the problem

What problem

Youve lost me know, what have my dresses got to do with pencil skirts?

I don't recall ever splitting a seam, but I agree some sets of stairs can be a bit of a problem.

I split my pencil skirt up the back seam last year when I forgot I was wearing something which tied my knees together (a design fault if ever there was one!) and climbed over a coffee table at work....

I've been too scared to wear it again despite sewing it up!

Haha same here, Last time one of mine gave way I was running for a bus (yes running lol) & I heard that terrible splitting sound
Had to walk home holding my bag over my bum so I could change, & yes I ended up very late for work lol

I wouldn't try and shift blame for that though, if I were you.

Exactly. I get really fed up with serial trolls on the forums.

I was simply sharing what problems I have with pencil skirts & thought it was a decent enough "fashion" topic to chat about.

Given the impact your other threads seemed to have on some FMs, people will probably refer to them in most future threads you post, regardless of the topic.

I can't walk in pencil skirts and flats let alone one with heels, I thought I was the only one with this problem!

I had a grey pencil skirt that I used to wear for school

One day I came home and had an argument with my sister. I decided (in my wisdom) to karate kick her as she walked through the door. I waited and when she finally came in I ran at her, kicked, my other leg followed suit, I flew up in the air and landed flat on my back.

Moral of story, never pull kung foo moves in a pencil skirt.

I think that's a very wise piece of advice to share

The girls at my school would hitch their skirts up above the knee and/or sew the rear split up to mke them even tighter!

Thank You. I felt from a Health & Safety point of view it was important.

I've done that too haha...school skirt as well, but I was demonstrating that I could kick very high, the standing leg gave way and I ended up on my butt.
