And its stuff that start off as jokes that get twisted and then reported in papers.

Maybe, but why should anybody have to temper their natural instinct (i.e. to make a joke) simply because there are some infantile, screwed up reporters out there willing to twist innocent, off the cuff remarks into a non-story?

You might think it wise, I think it's the opposite and smacks of Big Brother (that may be a little over-dramatic but you get my meaning ).

Agree Tabitha, when I saw Freds tweet I laughed I'm sure he meant it as a joke

Think the whole article is a bit of a storm in a teacup. Just seems like the sort of thing that comes up during strictly every year.

Anyone remember that silly article in the Sun after the last series about how they were going to get rid of a load of pros who were 'ugly'. Given that most of them came back, apart from Kristina who chose to leave & Florentine that was purely a work of fiction as i suspect is this.

Yes I agree that it does seem like typical tabloid gibberish. I doubt any celebrity would work four to five months for £9,000. It wouldn't even cover their living expenses. I do suspect that there's discontent among the celebs as it's suspicious that ITV finally gave them a profile page on their website but The People likely blew it out of proportion.

The fans have been bugging ITV for years about this too!
