The headbanger is always nerve wracking. She has a very competent partner in Daniel so she should be fine. Just a pity that he isn't swinging Jason around... Be lovely to see him whack his head on the ice and that vile smile permanently wiped off his face.

I'd prefer Daniel to let go of him halfway through so he goes flying into the audience personally. Am I evil?
Looks as if they are going to be allowed to do more than anyone could last year.
The worrying thing about the headbanger was the statement on Fridays show that someone was doing and if it wasn't Hayley, Daniella was next on the list for that week . It supports the idea that they have moves to be done to meet some quota and the best person available will get them. It would be better if the best person got them when they are really ready for them and the next best didn't get them just because the top person couldn't do them that week. It may explain poor Roxy getting it the Headbanger early last year. It also explains the nonsense they have where Daniella and Hayley are getting lots of difficult moves and being criticised for not getting all the detail right when other people are getting nothing like the difficulty and easier routines not to make errors on. Bad enough to go for too much too soon - worse to penalise people whom you have given too much to do.
I don't know why such a big fuss is made over the headbanger, agree with OP who said it's just a disaster waiting to happen as Roxy nearly proved last year. I don't think it looks all that nice either

Yeh but you couldn't give someone like Emily that move, she's so pants its untrue, she's probably fluff that up as well.
We get this pretty much every year when someone tries the headbanger. I can see her VT now about how scared she is and how sick she feels.
I don't see why they have to do this move with the celebs. I'm always expecting something to happen, not that enjoyable to watch. I say just leave that move to the pro's.
As soon as I saw this thread I knew it would be Hayley doing the headbanger. I'd much rather see more skating and moving about the ice on her own.

Oh it will be, Hayley has a completely different attitude to Roxy. Hayley wants to learn, takes advice from the judges and coaches unlike Roxy's "me me me" attitude of last year. Hayley is also a far more competent skater.
I really like Roxy last year, but I still hate that bloody lift,
I know that Matt and Andrei do it and I've seen Matthew do it as well so maybe Danniella will do it as well this year. Not sure Matt will with Heather as she's too tall.
Wasnt entirely Roxy's fault her first try at the headbanger went wrong as Dan didnt have a proper hold of her and went for safety after Rxy spun too far round on the ice for him to get hold of her correctly, her 2nd try was fine.
Just wish they wouldnt bother with it at all though as its getting boring and never looks that great as no celeb can do the move fully so why bother??
I love the Headbanger, and I would say Hayley is more than capable of doing it, she has the grit and determination, but I think you also need some good luck so First Aid kit at the ready just in case !
