2248 tracks in playlist, average track length: 4:07
Estimated playlist length: 154 hours 26 minutes 31 seconds http://www.aprb06.dsl.pipex.com/playlist.htm to see it if you so desire. All the "Manics - Track *" files are live bootlegs of the Manic Street Preachers greatest hits tour that I didn't name because I had much better things to be doing with my time. Also, there are a load of oddly named tracks around there which are Manics interviews and things. jack jack |

Hmm...
591 Tracks 2.75Gb 36 hours 41 minutes 28 seconds. Looks like i need a lot of catching up with my collection. If it makes it any much of a second prize, i have around 28 DIVX movies on my system. Out of interest how do you guys keep backups of such large numbers of MP3's? Every so often i make a 6 CDRW backup set of my MP3 albums and singles. I guess a DVD burner would be useful for this kind of backup. |

I don't do backups... Most of the mp3s there are ripped from albums I own (or my parents own). I suppose if my hard drive dies on me I will be incredibly annoyed...

# of tracks: 2,033
Total Length: I'd hate to think... Total Filesizeize: 9.73Gb That's pretty much my entire CD collection (that currently takes up half the house ) - much prefer to just have the 3 DVDs to carry around with me

I only used to have about 60 MP3 files on my old computer until we chucked it out and I just burnt them to 3 CD-r discs (20 on each in audio format-not data cos cheap shi**y players can't handle data format) but most of my CD collection are copied from other CD's or albums downloaded from net

I backup incrementally onto CD-Rs - although since converting my ripped collection from WMA to MP3 recently I haven't backed up, although I'll have a copy on my iPod I can restore from if needed with EphPod.

I've started putting my CD collection onto WMP9 so i can have foavourite lists of my music whilst on hte machine - i have around 240% of my collection on their and so far it is 338 items 24hrs. 11 mins 04 secs 1.31 Ghz. It saves my keep putting my cd's into the player - but when i have my cd's loud i put them through - wait for it my 22 yr. old
JV C Hi-fi!! What is the point of having your hi-fi collection on the PC when everyone has a perfectly more than adequate Decent hi-fi?!! I think they are all in wma format because when i downloaded my mp3's from my old HP i download it onto cdr as in audio format so it still recognised it as wma format. (opposed to not re-recognising it as mp3) Alex |

I've just had a major clearout - everything is backed up onto disc (mp3 for the so-so stuff and audio for the albums I'll listen to for more than 1 track). All I have left on my HD if the entire "Now" collection form Now 1 to Now 57... 2307 files/7.75Gb's in total

Mine comes in at 76:46:38, 4.09GB. I've just bought a 160GB drive and can't wait to fill it up.
I find that having it hooked up to go through my Pie-in-the-ear (Pioneer) stereo its pretty good, but I'm trying to get a cheap dual output video card so I can have the playlist on a 9" monitor I rescued from the local Co-Op. |
