I have been with AOL a while now but there service is an utter disgrace, at the moment I have Platinum 2 which is their phone line and broadband. I want to leave them asap! Is my only option to go back to BT?

how about o2?

I'm with o2 broadband since july 2008 and never had any problem and i'm going to take their home phone service when they will launch in march...o2 is a lot cheaper then BT.

check here for o2 packages

I had been considering O2 but the problem I have is that it looks like I need to transfer my line back to BT before I can then change to another provider but if I change back to BT I will get stuck in a 12 or 18 month contract. Can anyone confirm is this is true? If is true doesnt this mean that BT have the monopoly??? This cant be fair on the consumer!

I think u pay BT for line rent and just pay AOL for broadband and talk package right? if so , wait till march when o2 home phone will launched, then you can move ur broadband and calling package to o2 along with line rent.....then u can say bye bye to both BT and AOL.

I have my phone line and broadband through AOL, I have managed to fined away around going back to BT. I have signed up for the Post Office who only have a rolling 30 day contract but I need to pay for the install. Once the line is up and running I can then change to either Sky or O2 for phone & broadband.

Thanks
