Well, the DTI6300 has gone.
It lasted 3 weeks and started to freeze while replaying recorded programs, every 5 to 10 seconds for about half a second or so. Very annoying and in some cases made it impossible to follow a film or documentary.
So, back it went to Tesco for refund and I popped down to Argos and bought a Humax 9300. More expensive - yes - but it works.
The Humax is a lot more expensive but it actually works properly and was a doddle to set up. Lets hope it lasts longer than 3 weeks.

Finally threw out my 4000 following the picture/sound breakup issues and bought a refurb 9150 direct from Humax.
So far - excellent.
I never had a problem with the 4000 till the Nov/Dec changes but I just want something that f***ing works. Seems like it does.

Turning off the 'Live pause' feature solves the freezing as it's to do with the live buffer. Not much good if you use that feature though!
